We recently hosted a panel discussion with our friends at Kickstarter and Anxy sharing how independent creators develop, design, and launch print projects.<\/p>\n

From Cover to Cover explored the creative and operational processes that bring indie magazines and periodicals to life, from concept to production.<\/p>\n

The panel was moderated by Kickstarter’s Journalism Outreach Lead Oriana Leckert<\/strong><\/a>. At Kickstarter, she helps people bring a broad range of print, digital, and audio projects to life. \nFounder of Stripe SF<\/a><\/strong>, which specializes in print and exhibition design for art and culture. He is currently the Chair of the MFA Design program at California College of the Arts. Sueda curated\u00a0All Possible Futures<\/a><\/em><\/strong> for SOMArts Cultural Center in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

INDHIRA ROJAS<\/strong>
\nFounder of Anxy<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, an award-winning biennial publication exploring personal narratives and mental health through a creative and artful lens. She is also the creative director and principal at\u00a0Anagraph<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

TIM BELONAX<\/strong>
\nCurrently a Design Director at Pinterest. In early 2019 he helped launched Double Issue<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u2014an independent nonprofit print magazine covering the past and present of important social issues like equality, immigration, and conservation.<\/p>\n

ROSANNA YAU<\/strong>
\nDesigner, Y Combinator alumni, and the co-founder of BackerKit<\/a><\/strong>, the #1 platform enabling over 6,000 project creators to manage their crowdfunding campaigns effectively. She has a Masters in Design from California College of the Arts and a Bachelors in Communication Design from the University of California, Davis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
