Naturally, you want the final product to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. That\u2019s not a dig \u2014 it\u2019s just the nature of product development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, it\u2019s great to have a huge backer count. But by trying to be everything to everyone, you\u2019ll ultimately lessen the impact of your product, and likely won\u2019t give anyone exactly what they\u2019re looking for. Ask them about what they\u2019re looking for in a product like yours. See what Kickstarter backers are saying about other projects<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Look for crowdfunding projects in your category. Can you tell who those creators are targeting based on their campaign pages (in the same way that we did with Terraplanter)? What <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/terraplanter\/terra-planter-the-inside-out-hydroponic-planter-pot\/comments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comments are Kickstarter backers leaving<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the creator? People will often leave constructive feedback for creators in the comment section that can give you insight into what they want.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>3. Make time for social listening<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Join an <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/tabletopgamescrowdfunding?utm_source=marketing&amp;utm_medium=backer_profile_blog_022521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online community<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> based around a topic that\u2019s relevant to your project and see what conversations are happening.
