Dear co-backers, If you agree with the following below, please leave a like and a comment to make this message more visible to Cephalofair. Dear Cephalofair, I urge you, for the benefit of yourself as a company and of all 35 thousand backers, to increase the frequency of your communication during phases of fulfillment. While bi-weekly is often sufficient for sharing development of a new or improved product, it definitely is not during times in which many people are about to receive a product for which they potentially paid a lot of money. Managing expectations of that many people is never easy and you will never please everyone. However, considering you managed to crowdfund 5 million dollars, you are expected to manage expectations within the possibilities that you have or should have. Spending enough resources on communication is one of those. Many people are crying out for news, even if it were: there was a delay at this and that part of the fulfillment chain. Your current way and especially frequency of communication appears to be not sufficient, hence all those backers posting comments here on Backerkit. I am certain the influx of questions asking about fulfillment, soon to arrive or just arrived products would be a lot less here on Backerkit and in your mailbox, were you to proactively communicate more frequently. And I am sure you would want less questions to answer, hence hints like: "Please do not contact support asking where your product is until we have reported that your region has been fully delivered for the wave that you are concerned about." You are being stampeded with questions, messages and negative feedback, mostly because of your own doing. Start investing in improving. Haven games are a lot of fun, but consider that running a business like this could lead to less people being interested in buying your products. And since there is a lot of fan-made content, why spend more money on a company that does not appear to be willing to invest more in communication with the people that invest money in them? I hope for you and us all it doesn't come to that. Start improving.

I already have all those munchkin base sets/expansions. I was wondering if there was a way to just purchase the empty box as an add-on so I can put everything in one place.

Project Update: 24-Hour Update: A Message From Steve

As this is written, we are at $484K with every expectation of hitting a half-million by midnight.

My thanks go out to all the supporters, of course, but big props to Darryll, Sabrina, and Ben in our office who carried most of the weight of this huge project, and to Chandler and his BackerKit team.

This is the second-most-complex project we have ever undertaken. The first was, of course, our initial Ogre, where we patently had NO idea what we were doing, yet prevailed anyway. By contrast, this one has been tightly planned, with lots of shiny little brass gears all turning in different directions. And it emits a constant cheerful low hum instead of the BOOM BANG WEEEEEEE BOOM of Ogre. Slowly, we learn!

It is the third most grossing crowdfund we have done, and I look for it to pass the Car Wars 6th Edition before it’s over, nailing a firm second. If you folks beat Ogre, well, I will be delighted and flabbergasted.

We have already seen in the comments (keep those comments coming!) that the second enlargement of the dice was NOT overwhelmingly popular. We hear you. We will roll that back to 19mm acrylic and substitute something else. I will personally take the responsibility for that misstep. I like big dice – and I cannot lie.

We are also running out of planned stretch goals . . . which was the point when Ogre really started to go BOOM WEEEEEE SCRINK. We can do better this time. Your stretch suggestions are very interesting to us right now. My criteria for a good stretch – it has to make the game better. It has to be something our team can design and our factory can make within deadlines. It has to fit in the box. It has to be legal, and not eat your house plants. And we have to not lose money on it. (Making money is glorious but not LOSING it is primo.)

And, I hasten to add, there are some things already set for this box that you have not heard about yet, so stay tuned for the streams.

Please tell your friends about this one! It’s an awesome set, made to be further expanded to fit YOUR style of game, and we want everyone to have it and love it.

The stretch goals are great till now, I really like them. Only one I don't like so much is the upgrade of the 19 mm colored dice to those Jumbo ones, I already have them and so I liked more the not upgraded 19 mm... so... any chance that you can make them a bit different from the old jumbo ones? Just asking, it's ok if you can't!

The game is stated to be for 3-6 players but yet only provides 2 counters. Another upcoming stretch goal?

Will items like the coin, dice tray, lanyard, patch, pin, etc. have special rules? I still lament the decision to stop creating them for accessories. It was one of the things that made Munchkin special, imho.
