The Black Hole in a Sphere

The Black Hole in a Sphere

We became increasingly fascinated by black holes during our studies and feel like there are tons of incredible aspects and phenomena still unmentioned that we would like to share with you. Exploring all aspects of black holes in-depth would take years of time, but we would like to present to you three of our top pics of interesting videos.

What does it take to capture an image of the black hole at the center of our galaxy?

As you may have seen in our Campaign we included two images of an actual real life image of a black whole taken by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) in 2019 and 2022.
This video from the ESO explains how the EHT works, and how astronomers managed to create one massive Earth-sized telescope big enough to “see” at the edge of black holes.

What do we actually see? - How to understand the Black Hole Image

This Video by the famous youtuber Veritasium illustrates and explains why the image of a black hole looks like it does and how this changes with different perspectives.

From Birth to Death

This video by the youtube channel “Kurzgesagt” highlights a “life” of a black hole.
From it’s birth by the death of a star and to it’s assumed death by hawking radiation.

If you are interested and like this format we want to continue and post interesting updates about black holes and present new aspects to explore.
