Project Update: The final push! New Ships, Mothership VTT, and more!
Hope you're all enjoying your holiday season, we certainly are at Mothership HQ! We're entering the final few days here and we've got a few stretch goals still up our sleeve.
We've just unlocked the brand new ships, which we're really excited about. These will be high quality renders with full stats and deckplans like entries in the Shipbreaker's Toolkit. They'll include:
- An Interdictor: An "affordable" (think in the Raider range) combat based ship perfect for bounty hunters.
- A Prison Transport ship: Perfect for planning breakouts. We picture the players may end up on these a time or two and so it's the perfect thing to keep a deckplan handy for.
- A Pirate Ship: a very specific one built for “Pirate Queen” Shoshana Berahthran (one of the bounties). It's built out of other ships and it's the perfect ship for pirates or stranded colonists who have had to make do with what they can scavenge.
We're super excited about these. We're always trying to add new ships to the game to expand your library.
Mothership Companion App adds Virtual Tabletop
You can (very quickly) build maps in it, add tokens for other characters, see public dice rolls, send equipment, etc. Also, you can send out a code so that other players can join the session (including players with the free version!). We have a LOT more in store for this app, so if you haven't already, this is the perfect chance to give it a try.

Project Update: NPC Persons of Interest Art Reveal
Thanks so much for all your support. We're getting near the final days and I wanted to share some of the great NPC portraits that Jacob Fleming has been putting out. Each of them has their own desires, relations, tasks for the PC's- and someone is a murderer. In designing Interloper it was important to me that the crews can approach the module without following some singular "correct" path of investigation and still have a sweet time. In a lot of the noir media that inspired Interloper there isn't a lot of black and white morality but a cast of characters covered in varying shades of grey. To achieve this feel I try to keep even adversarial or repugnant NPC's as potential people the crew might be interested in aligning their interests with as they try to solve the murder or get entirely swept up in other sidequests that draw their interests. Uncovering the web of connections and secrets between the inhabitants of Interloper is a investigative or social crawl that should provide some fun routes for exploration. The game is afoot! 🕵️
Project Update: Weekend Update 4: The Final 48!
A quick one this weekend to say thanks for coming on this ride. Awaiting the Burning Gods has already been Magnum Galaxy Games' biggest campaign yet and it is all thanks to your support. Now that we are in the final 48 the push is on to unlock the bonus smuggler's guide zine for every physical pledge. I'm really hoping we crush this one and I think we've got a good shot!
Now, a few fun things.
MORE ART!
New Smuggler's Guide Content
*SPOILER ALERT (skip this paragraph to avoid)*
For example, the alternate start for The Cleaning of Prison Station Echo has your crew landing after the riot of the X187 infected prisoners. The prison has gone dark, the hallways vented of atmosphere, and the Xerocorp cleaning team is sweeping the halls shooting to kill any survivors who've managed to find themselves some oxygen and a warm place to hold out. Within this mess, your crew needs to extract a corporate VIP mole in hiding on the station. This reimagining promises a whole new way to approach the adventure and should be a ton of fun whether or not you've played the adventure before or its your first time. I can’t wait for you all to give them a spin!
Crossing the Finish Line
Thanks again for everything. Until next time, yours truly,
Dave
Project Update: Hold on to your Johnsons - its the last stretch!
This last month has absolutely flown past - I can't believe we're already in the last 24 hours of the campaign. Thanks so much to everyone who backed, shared, and talked about Johnson Squared over the last few weeks. Seeing your comments has been incredibly heartening.
For those who missed it, Sam, Josh, and I were on The Panic Table a few days ago chatting all about our writing process and making more than a couple silly Johnson jokes. Sam and Josh have already added some of the jokes chat made during the stream.
As we see the campaign off, join us for a can of JanusCorp™️-approved Schlurp.
Chat soon,
Eryk

Any chances you'll include any tools for this? I have a player who thought this module was from the dog's perspective, and thought it would be more interesting that way-- I'd love to help them make a playable one, even if it's just as a guest character!
