I remember joking with my pal about how cool it would be if Nightmare Were (the first lil fella I developed) blew up on kickstarter and turned into one of those unfathomably huge 6 figure campaigns. Could not conceive of a reality where that was true at the time(I didn't even have stretch goals LOL) but look at us now!! 😭

Will be requesting a tongue for ole' kramps. I want something that's only sewn in at the base so it has some dimension. Can't wait to see it in the round!
Additionally I've been workshopping some "official" names for the new careweres! So far I've got:
Autumnal Wolpertinger = Winter Wisps Wolpertinger (gotta love alliterations) Pride Were = Dazzle Heart Were Krampus = Rancid Heart Beelzebear (he doesn't count as a beelzebear for the purpose of this campaign/voting, just what I plan to lump him in with overall)
Twilight Were, Moonlight Mothman, Fairy Floss Bat, Gutsy Were, Luna Mothman = no change

We're a little over the halfway point and now seemed like a great time to pause, recap, and look at some of the things we've accomplished in the last two weeks. As of today, all bug accessories are unlocked! The bug plush add-on has been edited to include the two newcomers, so no need to edit your pledge if you already added the grub and would now like a different bug.
We've also unlocked a whopping 8 new careweres so far! (Not including honorary cryptid cuddle club member Rotwell, of course.) While some small changes may happen during the prototyping process, these designs are largely final and what I'll be sending (or have sent) to the manufacturer.
And lastly I added some turnarounds featuring the original series 2 careweres to the main page! Lookit 'em go!
I hope to have a visual on Gutsy Were soon, so stay tuned! Lots of exciting developments ahead and still two weeks left on the clock. I can't wait to see where we're at next week!
So today I discovered adhesive fabric (the kind used for wall decals and so on) is actually REALLY cool. The adhesive is pretty tacky but it doesn't leave any residue behind and it won't tear/shred even if you want it too.
This has got me thinking about a similar adhesive for the bandage accessories, but obviously double sided and cut to fit the silhouette of the bandages.
Does anyone have any experience with something like this? I know there's lots of crafters in the community who could probably let me know if this a bad idea before I invest too much energy into making it work for us 😅
One con is it does lose its tackiness after repositioning it a dozen times or so, but this could be mitigated somewhat by including extra adhesive backing. Just a thought!
Today I've got some long overdue accessory ideas to share-- it doesn't get more on-brand than this. And to narrow down our choices I'm including another poll! Winner will be made into a 4-5" plush your carewere can hold if we reach our funding target.
Colors are tentative and will likely be expanded upon, but the shapes will remain similar 💖
Is the next stretch goal going to have the rosy maple moth as an option? I was confused since the critter outlines were a moth at 250k I thought that’s what we were getting
