I'm just dropping by with a shipping update for the Pretty Petty Campaign. Shipping for this campaign is 50% done. I just received the last batch of pins from the manufacturer last week, and I'm packing orders every day. I expect to have shipping complete in two weeks time. Hey everyone, 

Another package of pins will be arriving soon from the manufacturer. This package contains the remaining pins, minus the "It's You" pins. The It's You pins were the pins that had the manufacturing error, and so they had to be redone. They will hopefully be done next week. Shipping has begun for the designs that have arrived, and there is some important information about tracking numbers that you need to know. Any pledge or order that includes a pin will come with a tracking number. If you ordered stickers only, your order will ship via letter format and will not come with tracking. When a shipping label is purchased a tracking email is automatically sent to the email address associated with your order. Please keep in mind that while you will receive an email with a tracking number, it may take a few days for tracking information to appear. I typically print out several labels at once, pack them over the course of a few days, and then make one large drop-off at the post office. 

International Orders - All international orders are shipped through the USPS to their destination country, and then transferred through your countries postal service to you. International orders can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to arrive. 

UK Backers 

Recently there has been some confusing information about international delivers to and from the UK, due to the cyber attack. I will be shipping two UK orders this week and monitoring their tracking to see if they arrive. If I have any issues with these orders, I will look into an alternate shipping method and send out an update with any information regarding a new shipping company.

Hey everyone, 

I'm dropping by with a shipping update. While I was hoping to have all the pins by this week, it looks like they won't be arriving until the second week of February. I unfortunately made a mistake when approving one of the design proofs so some pins were made incorrectly. I had to have those pins remade and it ended up being a very costly mistake on my part. The factory is also currently on break for the Chinese Lunar new year. Thanks for all your patience thus far. 

Since I expect shipping to start in mid February now is the time to update your shipping address. In other news, The Snarky Company will be launching a new pin collection via BackerKit Crowdfunding on March 7th, 2023. Here's a hint about this new collection: this pin collection will be a part 2 of a previous pin collection that was launched on Kickstarter in 2019. I am here with a manufacturing and shipping update for the Pretty Petty Pin Campaign. I spoke with my manufacturer this past week and he's sent over some photos of the pins in production. I've posted those photos below so you can take a look. Keep in mind that the quality of manufacturer photos are never really great. I am hoping for the pins to be finished by mid January and shipped out to me by the end of January. As soon as they arrive I will preform quality checks and prepare them for shipment. Lockdown Date

This is just a reminder that the survey lockdown date is coming up. The survey lockdown date is October 21st, 2022. This means you have until Friday the 21st to make changes to your order. After the lockdown date you will not be able to make changes to the designs you've chosen. If you need to update your shipping address after your survey has been locked, please email snarkyco.orders@gmail.com. We are able to update your shipping address on our end up until we ship the order. The lock down date is when your card on file will be charged for your shipping fees and any other add-on items.

Your design choices are guaranteed as long as you've completed your survey before the lockdown date. You will still be able to complete your survey after the lockdown date, and choose from any of the designs, but it does not guarantee that design will be available when we pack your order.

The purpose of the post campaign survey is to collect your design choices for your pins, shipping fees (which weren’t charged during the campaign), and collect your shipping address. Surveys are sent through BackerKit, and you should expect your survey to come in an email from BackerKit. If you do not see the survey in your inbox, please check your spam/junk inbox. You can also search Pretty Petty or BackerKit to find the survey in your inbox. 

When you fill out your survey you will be asked to provide card details to pay for your pledge shipping. Upon completion of your survey you WILL NOT be charged at that moment. Payments for shipping and any other add-ons will be charged when surveys are locked down. Your payment will be charged on 10/21/22.

The other purpose of the lockdown date is to get final quantity numbers for each design. Once your survey is locked down and charged, we do not give refunds for add-on items if you change your mind. 

You will be able to fill out your survey after October 21st, however, you are not guaranteed your design choices. You will find that you can select your design choice on your survey, but if we run out of a particular design during fulfillment, we will contact you to choose a different in-stock design. To ensure all your design choices, please fill out your survey before the lockdown date.

Pledge charged failed
If your original pledge charge failed, or you cancelled it thinking it was fraud, you will still receive a survey. The survey will allow you to make up this failed charge, so you can still receive your rewards. 

The purpose of the add-on section is to add extra items you may want shipped with your pledge. Add-ons are entirely optional, if you do not want extra items, please skip this step. The add-ons section contains a small selection of snarky co pins not related to this campaign. Please note that any items added from this add-on section will ship with your pledge level, and not before. If there is a specific pin you've seen in our Etsy Shop, but do not see in the add-ons section, and want to add it to your order, please contact us. The contact information is below. 

You will be able to change your shipping address up until the lockdown. After the lock down date, if you need to update your shipping address, please email snarkyco.orders@gmail.com, and we can manually update your shopping address. Please let us know as soon as possible that you need to update your address so we can amend the address before your package is sent. If you fail to notify us of an address change, and your package is returned to us, we will ship it again, however, you will have to pay another shipping charge. 

We will post an update for last call address changes before we start shipping packages.

There is a pre-order store for this campaign. The purpose of the pre-order store is to allow anyone who did not pledge to the campaign a chance to order these pins. You can access the pre-order store with this link.

Hey Everyone,

Just a few updates about the surveys and the glitch with the name on credit card statements.

Surveys will be distributed Monday. I had planned to distribute them today, but I'm still working on counting some leftover inventory, and waiting to hear back from the manufacturer for some clarifying details.

As mentioned in the previous update, your pledge charge was showing up on credit card statements or bank statements as instagram.com. Due to this error some backers cancelled the charge thinking it was fraud. If you cancelled your charge, but still want your pledge, you can still make a payment through your survey. Any backers with failed charges will still receive a survey with their chosen pledge level. Once you receive your survey you'll fill out all information, and at the end of the survey you'll be able to add in card details and pay for your pledge. It would also be helpful if you contacted your bank to let them know the cancelled charge is not fraud so we don't incur any penalties.

Below is the patreon pin of the month for October. If you are interested in getting this pin, be sure to sign up to Patreon before midnight tonight. Patrons are charged on the 1st of every month.

Just wanted to give a start of the week update. Apologies that I’ve been quiet for several days, I wasn’t feeling well and needed a couple days to stay home, do nothing, and recover. 

There are just under 59 hours left in the campaign and all designs are unlocked! Thank you to everyone who has pledged so far and made this project possible! If you’d like to change your pledge level, now is the time to do so before the campaign ends. Now is also the time to refer a friend if you would like to get in on the refer a friend program. Patreon - September 2022

If you you didn't know, The Snarky Company has a Patreon with a monthly pin club. Each month you can receive a brand new pin.

Below is the pin of the month for September 2022. If you are interested in becoming a patron you will be need to sign up to the Snarky Co. Patreon before end of day on August 31st. Patrons are charged on the 1st of every month, and receive that month's pin roughly 30-56 days later (depending on speed of manufacturing).

Patrons also receive coupon codes throughout the year, that can be used for discounts in our Etsy Shop. Patrons also receive extra benefits during crowdfunded campaigns.

New Design Release

The design being released today is the “It’s You” Pin. The second pin I ever designed (way back in 2017) was a simple purple heart that read “It’s Not Me, It’s You”. I’ve always loved that pin solely for that phrase. I decided to use the same phrase and update the design behind it. This design is the largest of the campaign at 2”.

This week I also added two new designs to the campaign that already unlocked. On the campaign page you'll find the Imagination pin and the Heart Balloon pin that are now unlocked designs you can choose from.

I still have a few more designs that are being drafted out for the following weeks.
 

Throughout my years of making pins I’ve received countless suggestions or requests. I love hearing from backers, customers, friends, and family about what they want to see when it comes to the pins I make. The only downside to opening myself up to suggestions is that I can’t make everything. Sometimes a suggestion/request doesn’t fit with the Snarky Co. brand, or doesn’t fit with a specific collection I’m working on, or I just don’t have time at the moment…and sometimes I love the idea and I add it to a running list of pin ideas. (This running list has over 100 ideas/requests on it)

When it comes to gathering ideas for my pins I often look to pop culture, music, and my own life experiences for inspiration. If you’ve ever owned a pin I’ve designed then you know that 90% of my pins contain text. I like adding colloquialisms, song lyrics, and snarky sayings to my pins. The text isn’t the only important part, design elements are just as important. Since the age of 16 I’ve always been drawn to traditional tattoo flash, so you’ll find those elements in my pin designs, but ultimately, how a pin looks comes down to its “theme”, and how my brain sees it. If that makes sense? 

So. Here I am, asking you the backers, for your suggestions and ideas. Keep in mind that the suggestions I’m looking for in this discussion, are for ideas themed around this campaign (breakups, exes, bad relationships) If you’d like to leave a suggestion or idea, you can drop it in the comments below, but keep a couple things in mind:

Today we are adding our tenth design to the campaign, the Game Over Pins. The 10th design is actually three different designs, but they revolve around the same theme, so they’re bundled together. 

We are also having our first backer vote, where you’ll be able to vote on a color variant for one of the designs. While you'll only be voting on one color variant for one design, you can visit the campaign page to see all three designs.

I’ve always found the phrase “Playing Games” to be funny? Misconstrued maybe? Playing games in a relationship isn’t playing a literal game, it’s manipulation, usually due to unspoken feelings or expectations. It’s really hard to admit our true feelings, our deepest fears and insecurities, which are ultimately very similar to our partners. Instead of speaking up and bearing our deepest fears to our partners, we find it easier to play “games”, to dance around the truth and attempt to ease our anxieties.

I don’t believe that every person plays games in an ill natured way, most of us do it as a defense mechanism. However, I do believe that there are some people out there who operate this way maliciously. They too have deep seated fears and insecurities that they won’t admit out loud, but their “games” are pure manipulation. I’ve experienced this kind of person, their games are subtle, they fly under the radar, until one day you realize you’ve been playing a game you never wanted to. It can be really hard, for a variety of reasons, to walk away from these people and tell them it’s “Game Over”

On a lighter note…I wanted to design a pin around the concept of playing games and of ending games. I’m also a gamer, so in a nod to video games, I paired the phrase with some game controller/console designs, in a tattoo flash style. In a nod to my favorite game, I’ve given each color variant a name from my favorite game.
