The Smut Peddler X ebook is not yet in your Backerkit accounts, not even if you've completed your survey! (you've done that, right?) We plan to have it available by the end of the month, as it's currently still being finalized in pre-press.

If you backed at one of the pledge levels that include the My Monster Girlfriend PDF (or grabbed it as an add-on), you should now be able to grab it from your Digital Downloads page. The Smut Peddler X ebook is still in production, as are the physical rewards.

Hey, all! Matt Sheridan, here! I’m the one in charge of Iron Circus’ shipping, receiving, and fulfillment. First and foremost, I’m sorry for the slow response; we’re still figuring out some things about the new BackerKit crowdfunding platform! But the good news is, we have a few answers for you, so read on!
International shipping fees
Regarding those excruciating international shipping fees: Unfortunately, that’s what international shipping costs for small companies. We use USPS First-Class Mail International prices for shipments up to 64 ounces, and USPS Priority Mail International for everything heavier. Two books weighing four pounds total cost us $45.40 to ship to Canada, or $58.35 to ship to the U.K. (plus, handling charges from our fulfillment company). It sucks, and we hate it. We’ve tried maintaining overseas inventories and shipping from those to local customers, but it turned out that we didn’t have enough international sales to make that work.
We’re still looking into other options for the future, and more importantly we’re going to be better about informing backers about what their shipping fees are likely to be.
But for the time being, rest assured that there’s no rush to pay your shipping fee right away—you’ve already paid for your book, and that’s waiting for you whenever you’re ready. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to cancel your pledge, we will refund your purchase.
Early bird shipping
Folks who backed the crowdfund in the first hour (between 11:00am CT and 12:00pm CT on November 7, 2022) will get free shipping within the U.S. or half-price shipping internationally. We’re still working on how to actually do this. Right now, it’s looking like we’re going to be sending out a lot of refunds for people who already paid their shipping fees, and adding credits to the accounts of folks who haven’t yet done so. Sorry, it’s weird and sloppy, but we will get this sorted out!
Early bird pins
Everyone who backed at one of the physical reward tiers on the first day of the campaign (ending at midnight, Central Time) will receive an enamel cloisonne pin commemorating the 10th anniversary of our Smut Pedder series! This one should already be in your cart as a pledge item.
And I think that covers everything! Everybody, thanks for your patience. We’ve done loads of crowdfunds, but this one was huge, fast, and a little off-balance. We’re sorting it out, though.

Hey, all! Spike here! And I'm excited to tell you that the time has come to lock in your final pledges and send your shipping address for the second Smut Peddler Double Header!
You should have gotten a link in your inbox, but if you didn't, click here to be taken to the backer survey! And since this is our first time using BackerKit's new crowdfunding platform (and maybe your first time, too?), lend an ear, so we can make sure we all know how this works!
Your backer rewards are already in your cart.Should you choose to add more items, you can do so in the "add-ons" section!
This means if you want a previous edition of Smut Peddler, or another Iron Circus Comics title, or have changed your mind and DO want that poster signed by Claire Hummel after all, you can add that now! And don't hesitate, because we will be using the fulfillment totals to determine the print runs for the poster and hardcovers. Extra copies for you to pick up later down the line are not guaranteed!
If you added a poster or a hardcover upgrade to your pledge during the campaign, then you've already paid for that item. This will show as a credit on your order. Don't forget to spend your credit by selecting the item as an add-on!
We will lock orders on a daily basis, and expect to have the ebooks for Smut Peddler X and My Monster Girlfriend ready for distribution by the beginning of February, at which point they will appear in your BK accounts. We will also keep you all in the loop on the books' physical printing and fulfillment via BackerKit updates right here! So if you're ever wondering where things stand, navigate back to this page and read the latest update!

Hello, everyone! Spike here, again! Don't worry, I won't keep you long.
Welp, I guess you know by now, but in any case: The Smut peddler Double Header is FUNDED. We nearly hit $200k, and nearly hit 4,000 backers! It's out biggest Smut Peddler project EVER, and we have you to thank for that. So, thank you!
What happens now?
We wait for all the payments to clear. This will take three weeks.
While we wait, we move forward on finalizing, and striking, the day-one backer pins! We didn't make it to the pins-for-a-day-one-backers stretch goal, unfortunately, so these pins will be for backers with physical orders only.
We will also move forward with setting up the Backerkit Classic fulfillment interface. This is where You can add on other volumes of Smut Peddler (Sex Machine, Sordid Past, Silver, etc.), extra volumes of Smut Peddler X or My My Monster Girlfriend if you want them, and other Iron Circus titles that might strike your fancy! Expect to get access to the fulfillment page in January or thereabouts.
Once the books have a hard date for arrival at the warehouse, we'll start locking addresses. Up until that point, you will be able to change/update your address in Backerkit if you move or circumstances require it. No need to email or message us, just head into the fulfillment page you originally gave your address on and edit it!
Ebooks will be distributed in Backerkit! Orders with hard copies will be fulfilled by White Squirrel, our fulfillment partner!

In other news... it's time to announce our STRETCH GOALS.
Folks, thank you so much for this first week of the all-new Smut Peddler Double Header. We want to spread your love, support and largess around, AND reward you for helping our creators directly! With that in mind, here's what we came up with.
$135,000 - A POSTER OF THE SMUT PEDDLER X COVER!
Drawn by renowned illustrator and Valve concept artist Claire Hummel, we will created a limited edition run of 24" x 36" posters available as add-ons to this project, some of which will be signed by the artist herself!
$150,000 - A SMUT PEDDLER X HARDCOVER!
Smut Peddler X will get a VERY limited edition hardcover run, available as add-ons to this project! Hardcovers of comics don't move very well after the initial crowdfund, in our experience, so don't expect us to make very many of these!
$175,000 - A SURPRISE BONUS for our OG Smut Peddler 2012 creators!
That's right! A nice li'l kickback for the ones who made it all possible! Contributors to the very first Smut Peddler, the brand that dumped a gallon of jet fuel into the Iron Circus' engines and made this all possible, will get a cut of the total funding and, should they want them, copies of the new edition!
$200,000 - PINS FOR ALL FIRST-DAY BACKERS!
You asked! We answered! And this one's on us, kinda! In the flurry of preparation for our very first Backerkit project, we forgot to make it 100% clear that only first-day PHYSICAL orders would get the exclusive first-day-backers-only pin. So, let's get that pin to everyone who backed on the first day, including folks who just bought ebooks! This stretch goal will cover the cost of striking the extra pins, and mailing them to digital backers!
$250,000 - A Satyr and Bultungin story, written and drawn by C. Spike Trotman, is included in My Monster Girlfriend!
Satyr is a satyr. Bultungin is a bultungin (east-African folkloric werehyena). They date. She's kind of a little sadistic, and kind of a LOT dangerous. He's... a little too into it.
RELATIONSHIP GOALS.
If The Double Header meets this OUTRAGEOUS goal, I will make a smutty little Satyr and Bultungin story. :)
And to close it out, the REQUIRED JOKE TIER:
If this project hits $500,000, I'll fly every single willing Smut Peddler: My Monster Girlfriend contributor out to New York City, treat them to a nice dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, put them up in a nice hotel, buy My Monster Girlfriend billboard time in Times Square, and do a group photo shoot. TEST ME.
And that'll do it, folks! Apologies this update came a day later than planned, but the quotes were slow to come in, and we couldn't do pricing without them!

Working with our good friends at True Metal Works, we plan to strike these in matte grey metal, with this die-cast design in the back:

DESIGN ONE: DINAH MIGHT!
Dinah is Smut Peddler's mascot; a beautiful burlesque dancer that has graced the cover of multiple volumes, and featured in the emblem we put on all of our erotica as part of the Smut Peddler seal o' quality. This is a rough sketch by Amanda Lafrenais, and will be tightened up before being sent to be cast!
DESIGN TWO: HOORAY FOR SMUT!
The official Smut Peddler slogan since day one! A simpler design favored by folks who love their clean lines and statement buttons.

And... wow.
Just WOW.
What else is there to say? I'm dang near speechless. Thank you, everyone. We're totally, completely, utterly blown away by this outpouring of excitement and support for Smut Peddler X and My Monster Girlfriend. And I've been crowdfunding since before there was even a Kickstarter! (Yep. Paypal pre-orders. I don't recommend it!) It takes a LOT to surprise me!
Thank you so much to our returning, ride-or-die backers, folks who have been with us from the beginning! And thank you to our new backers, folks funding us for the very first time. We have so much neat stuff to show you! You're gonna like it here.
