It’s time for another humongous thank you to our team of writers, editors, playtesters, consultants, artists, and producers who came together to make Where Evil Lives: The MCDM Book of Boss Battles—because the PDF is now available baby!

If you backed at the $20 level as a Flee, Mortals! backer, you should receive an email from that campaign with your download information.

Click here for a direct download link or check your email. If you don't see an email from us, you can reach out to [email protected] and we will help you out.

The hardcover version of Where Evil Lives is tracking towards a December release. If you didn’t preorder a hardcover during the BackerKit campaign, you can preorder it now at mcdm.gg/WhereEvilLives.

I don't know the logistics, but I'm paying more for the shipping for Where Evil Lies than the book itself. Can it be added to the Flee Mortals bundle and sent out in one package rather than two

Backerkit has given me the following error; "The bank requires follow up to confirm your order is legit Follow up with your bank. We can't ship your rewards until you confirm with the bank." But whenever I click the link it gives me, that takes me to a blank page on Backerkit? How can I fix this? I don't care about the shipping cost, I want my book.

Poorly handled shipping costs aside, when should we expect getting the download link for digital content? I can't recall if this was a pdf only digital content offer or if there were vtt files as well like another offer I backed recently offered?

While I understand that MCDM has no control over the shipping costs that carriers charge, the prices lots of us backers are seeing is significantly higher than what we expected - especially for those of us who have backed other books and gotten significantly lower rates. Maybe other companies subsidized or increased book costs to cover the difference, we don't really know, but what is the most concerning to me is that MCDM hasn't addressed everyone with an update. There are a significant amount of people saying they're done backing MCDM or requesting a refund, and even those of us who paid the shipping probably lost some goodwill towards MCDM. Just seems like MCDM would want to address the issue to me. Thoughts?

Shipping costs seem to start at $20 for the US and increase from there for other countries. It seems rather high since the books are produced and shipped from within the US. Haven't seen any explanation for the shipping costs, and we were only given 3 days to fill out the pledge manager? I didn't even get a chance to fill out the pledge manager as I was traveling those 3 days that we had to fill it out. What's going on with this campaign hah?

Why is shipping almost the same cost as the book? I paid less in shipping for Frosthaven, one of the heaviest games on the market. Can I ask which company is being used for international shipping?

I'm really surprised that there has been no statement from MCDM Productions. In a situation where a loyal and supportive community are clearly shocked about a much loved organisation's business decision, it is customary and courteous to post a response that attempts to explain, address, or even redress any community-wide upset. MCDM have mostly replied individually. While speedy, I don't feel that these responses have properly tackled the issue. I enquired about a refund and was instantly refunded, rather than being allowed to discuss the issues.

Hi I'm pretty happy with the shipping costs (it's pretty reasonable for shipping to NZ). But I have not been charged yet while others' comments imply they have been. When should I expect to be billed?

$20 for shipping in the states? Also, I have two surveys waiting to be filled out that are identical? Hesitant to fill out both and get charged twice

Like others, I'm also surprised to see a flat $20 shipping fee for everyone in the US. Whether intentional or an error, an explanation should be provided to everyone.

I am quite sad about this project. I really want to support MCDM Productions. But lots of people, myself included, are shocked and disappointed by the high cost of delivery outside of the US. My pledge has been refunded and while I really do appreciate that this was painless and easy, I think it would have been better for MCDM to get back to their delivery supplier to question the high delivery costs on our behalf.

Is the shipping accurate? I am being charged for $20 shipping. That turns this into a $40 book.

Good...whatever the time is you read this. I'm posting because I'm a little confused about the doubled up shipping costs. I'm sure USPS media mail has been considered and deemed "too iffy" to warrant the mass shipping but even UPS, from a plain old person to person for a single shipment, is less than $13 USD for a 3lb package. So I'm a little confused when we see a video that says the $20 is to just cover the cost of making the book and then I'm surprised with an additional $20 for shipping. Now, I understand that Matt said the $20 covers printing and shipping to the warehouses but please understand our confusion when the cost of the book doubles to ship to our home when I, a person not shopping for a deal in bulk, can find a price 35% cheaper. Again, I understand the warehouse is paying their staff as well but I feel like that a $13 an item price should be reasonable when you're talking large amounts shipping out. I mean unless we're getting the Mr. Bean "gift wrap" treatment from Love Actually.... then it makes sense and I will enjoy my freshly ground cinnamon scented evil monsters book. Again, not complaining, the world is still weird with inflation blah-d-blah, but just asking for some clarification and understanding. Thanks as always!

I'm just a bit confused with the shipping price, this sounds like a bit much, I'm paying twice the price of the book on shipping to Canada, is this an error or is there a special reason for this increased pricing?
