Check out Devil's Due, the 100pg space pirate campaign anthology

Not Enough Scoundrels is a new supplement of smugglers, space truckers and the ships they live and die by, for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG. This zine contains a campaign framework of competing factions among tons of scoundrel NPCs set within a new spacecrawl procedure for players to travel the hyperlanes. Inspired by sci-fi smuggling truckers, from the Nostromo crew to Serenity, and the Bebop to the Millennium Falcon, the space trucker campaign sets up a challenge to win a massive contract that will take your players all over the Outer Rim, and the contraband that lands them in trouble.

The 28pg 32pg zine is packed with eight new ship types, the crews and factions who fly them, a spacecrawl procedure and three 1d100 tables of Rim Stations, Contraband and Scoundrels, brought to you by 5 Million Worlds Press. Written and designed by Chris Airiau with art by Carly A-F, and Tim Zygor (a.k.a. tim4242), and Lur Noise we’ve teamed up to bring you a module of grungy spaceships ready to use at the table. It works as a ship catalogue, one-shot derelict maps with horrors and contraband bounty, or pull the spacecrawl procedure for your ongoing Mothership campaign. Packed with explosive NPCs, crossover easter eggs, and feuding factions, Not Enough Scoundrels brings nefarious tension to fill your game between the space horrors.

Edit

Not Enough Scoundrels contains spaceships and the people who run them. The zine gives Wardens new space-faring tools to thread together their Mothership campaigns. The ships are locations to host adventures, their Rimwise crews ready to skew rival or allies. The Contraband table packs in personality for the Rim, while providing a potential lil sumpin sumpin on top.

Here’s what the zine is set to contain:

  • 8 new Ship Types, fully statted with Deckplans
    • The Megafreighter, Freight Carriage, Junk Barge, Star Hopper, Outpost Resupply, Trade Scout, Patrol Runabout and the Hammerhead Heavyfire Cruiser
    • New Weapons and Ship Upgrades to add to your table’s roster
    • Ship crews for your players to run into, work for, or compete against
  • 3 new factions, each with gameable hooks, NPCs, and tables for Crews to engage with.
    • The space trucker’s Hyperlane Logistics Union
    • Outer Rim Runners Organization, an expedited freight service group (i.e. smugglers)
    • Corrupt spacecops (redundant, I know): Universal Allies PMC
  • Spacecrawl Procedure of Hyperlane and Stationside Events perfectly compatible with the official ruleset to help Wardens keep tension high between the space horrors.
  • 1d100 Rim Stations: A table of station designations Wardens can use to name Trade Posts on the fly.
  • 1d100 Contraband: New drugs, guns, electronics, animals, counterfeit products, organs, foodstuffs, passenger freight, personal data files, and xeno artifacts.
  • 1d100 Scoundrels: NPCs to serve as contacts and patrons, ready to drop into your game at the roll of the die.
  • Interconnections with loads of other Mothership Month projects: Devil’s Due, Orgy of the Blood Leeches, Awaiting the Burning Gods, PK49, Johnson2, Straight Arrows, and more!
  • Not Enough Scoundrels Deluxe adds four double-sided Ship Deckplan postcards to hand out to your players during your games.
    • Also available as Digital & Printable Ship Deckplan Fiches to hand out to your players, or VTT use!

When in Rome is a 24pg adventure module for Mothership RPG inspired by the film Alien: Romulus written by Chris Airiau, with art by Brandon Yu.

Everett's Moon is a shithole where the Company sends spacers to die. Captain Archie of the Conrad called you up with a way out: theft from a decommissioned Electorenzo Resources spaceship near Everett's Rings. Get the tech, upgrade the Conrad, and run for freedom on the Outer Rim world of Caer Wydion. Easy, right?

Except Caesar/Augustus is no spaceship, this state-of-the-art research space station has gone cold and errant. What was the Company experimenting on? Where did everyone go? Can you make it out alive?

This module contains:
  • Two maps of Caesar/Augustus, player-facing and Warden-facing, containing 10 Sectors with multiple areas to explore.
  • New Ship Class, the Mining Hauler, with interior map.
  • 6 NPCs and their Drives to complicate your players' lives.
  • 8 Xeno frights and their life cycle to terrorize PCs.
  • Digital Assets
    • Three Printable Maps: Station, Core, and Spaceship
    • Digital Maps, with and without notation
    • NPC and Creature Art
    • VTT Tokens
  • Endgame Seeds to carry on the story

Get your 2.5 inch 100% Embroidered Iron-on Patch for the Hyperlane Logistics Union, the premier space trucker union in the Outer Rim. Complete with your own Union Branch number! Smart truckers never risk leaving port without sporting their HLU patch. Remember: Not Even the Stars Are Neutral.

When you gotta go fast, nab this 3x1 inch 100% Embroidered Iron-on Patch for the Outer Rim Runners Organization, the quickest expedited freight service this side of the Rim. Wear your Sponsored Member smugglers mark proudly, and you're sure to find the black marketeers you're lookin' for.

RV Games is a Queer publisher of auteur tabletop games. They have published, fulfilled, or distributed nine crowdfunded projects including Rampant, Graveyard of the Gods, and Ronin.

Shipping

  • Worldwide shipping will be organized by RV Games via ShipBob.
  • The following table shows estimated shipping rates. These are only estimates and can change between now and fulfillment.

Pledge Manager

RV Games will be using BackerKit as a pledge manager once the campaign is complete. We will be using a feature called Auto-lock and Charge that will lock your order and charge you for shipping and add-ons when you complete your survey. For this reason, you will end up receiving your survey a little later than you may be used to, surveys will go out once products have arrived at the warehouse.

Add-Ons

After the campaign, you will be able to purchase add-ons from RV Games back catalog, a selection of third party ttrpg zines and books, and a small selection of gaming accessories. Add-ons that contain more than just print material will need to pay VAT in the UK. Shipping is included in the price of the add-ons purchased through BackerKit except for heavier items. These heavier add-ons have a $5 USD (55 SEK, $7 CAD, 4£ GBP, 5€ EUR, $8 AUS) shipping surcharge.

Edit

This is a rough overview of the project timeline. I think this could be shorter, but I've learned it's best to overshoot initial estimates. In any case, this is the workflow for the project over the coming months.

  • January 2025: Development
  • February 2025: Manuscript Revisions
  • March 2025: Digital Assets
  • April 2025: Editing
  • May 2025: Layout
  • June 2025: Proofreading
  • July 2025: Print tests
  • August 2025: Fulfillment Begins
