Project Update: Development and Preproduction in the Final Stages! Some Villain Reveals!
Good morning, everyone!
It's actually afternoon for me right now! I'm in the city of Essen in Germany for the Essen Spiel convention this coming weekend. But I'll be back home next week, and there, I'll be working with our Super-powered Graphic Designer, Rae, on finishing up all the layouts and files! The goal is to have everything for Disparation to the printer by the end of this month, and we're on track to make that happen — the majority of things are already done, and we just have a few decks and components and the finishing touches left! That puts us squarely to print in a way that seems likely we won't run into any major holidays that could delay production. If that's the case, we should have Disparation in hand Q1 of next year. Either way, we'll be able to get Disparation to you in the first half of next year; it's just a question of how early into next year you'll get it. Things are moving along and looking good, but there are a number of variables on the printing side. Fortunately, as we pass milestones and move towards actually fully wrapping up this project, I'll still be here with regular updates to let you know where things are and how the process is going!
Oh, and also, I'm here to reveal things from the nigh-upcoming expansion! Let's take a look at four of the villains, in particular.
La Capitan has numerous powerful crew members, each of whom both help her steal stuff, but also take the fight to the heroes. Chip is one of them!
Also, she has a variety of tricks involving thievery, leading her crew, and — of course — her ship.
La Capitan is one of the more straightforward villains in Disparation, but she's no slouch! And even for being comparatively straightforward, she has a lot of cool moves up her piratey sleeves.
The Dreamer is plagued by her nightmares as they come to life to torment her and attack the heroes!
Fortunately, there are options for keeping her safe and helping her recover while you wade through the nightmares, destroying them as fast as you can without hurting young Vanessa Long.
If you can save her from herself and her nightmares, you can save the world.
Once you've revealed that the seemingly mild-mannered Aminia Twain is in fact the villainous Miss Information (WHAT?! Spoilers!), then the fight is really on! In order to do so, you'll need to assemble Clues...
And whether she's in the form of your former secretary (it's safe to assume that she's fired after this) or in her revealed villainous form, the Distractions she keeps sending your way are going to be trouble!
Not all the Distractions are imposters like these ones (note that flavor text...), but they are all dangerous to the heroes and either working for Miss Information, or at least sent into the heroes' path by her machinations.
Finally, a far too familiar face takes up the mantle of villainy. Iron Legacy is terrible not just due to his strength and power, but because of what he represents.
If Paul Parsons can fall so far and lash out in his desperation, who can be truly good?
Harrowing. Can you stop one of the greatest heroes?
See you next month for another update with more reveals and more behind-the-scenes info!
