My shyness got the best of me at AGFF and I didn't get to ask my question at the King's Quest Panel, so here it goes: I always wondered about the AGI version of King's Quest 4. The game was the first release to use the new high-resolution SCI graphics and fully support major sound cards, and I noticed that the AGI edition is "Version 2.0" -- So what's the story? I would be interested in knowing the timeline of how this came about. Undoubtedly it was created to support players who had lower system specs and wanted to continue the adventure, but was it produced side-by-side with the SCI version or was it released afterward? Did it involve basically creating a "whole new game" in AGI, or was it possible to "port" parts of it from the SCI engine? The boxes are identical (except for the teeny tiny System Requirements noting 512K or 256K RAM required), so I'm curious if they were both sold retail or if the AGI version was only special order direct from Sierra? That's one of my many fascinations with Sierra games: they were designed to work on the lowest common system at the time, but still take advantage of the hardware if you had it.

Oh, and for John Williams: What was the ultimate plan for the Sierra Multimedia Club? I remember it was supposed to be "InterAction Magazine on CD-ROM", but was ultimately canceled. I still have the letter announcing its cancelation with John Williams's signature.
