Project Update: LONG OVERDUE VOIDSTREAM UPDATE
LONG TIME NO TALK (MY BAD)
First off let me apologize for the lack of comms. Both Cameron and I have been hard at work on getting this project cooking (as well as juggling our day jobs) and have really dropped the ball on making sure you are updated regularly. This is a no-news-is-good-news situation as everything is moving along and we have quite a few interesting updates to share!
PRE-PRODUCTION JUNCTION
Cameron has been hard at work writing the Voidstream scripts, scouting locations, auditioning actors and getting all the pieces in place to make video and audio elements. Part of the fun challenge of this project is connecting the adventure itself with these audio and video assets, a completely different type of collaboration than I've been a part of before and it's been very educational and fun! As I'm sure you know, professional video and audio takes a lot of careful planning with lots of different people, but is on track to start filming and recording soon! Stay tuned for some sneak previews ASAP.
THE SOS DIARIES
The manuscript is complete! The adventure is in playtesting currently and is (I'm gonna toot my own horn here) pretty f*cking cool. All the subsystems are built out and working perfectly, I”m really happy with the way it's all fitting together. Hopefully these extra tools will see some use in your other MoSh games. From the narrative-PVP systems of secret motivations, possessions, and monster transformations to the time-resource system, I really think that there is just a lot of really fun stuff to play with. We are really trying to make an adventure that brings a different vibe than the other MoSh books in your collection. As well as something that you will want to replay over and over again.
So now I'm in the process of doing the layout design (my second favorite part after writing mechanics!) and although I'm just getting started, I went ahead and whipped up some images so you could something to tide you over till the PDF is ready.
THE FUTURE IS …SOON
So here's what to expect as far as our projected timelines:
-PDF should hopefully be in your (digital) hands by the end of the year.
-Book off to the printers shortly after that (hopefully the first few months of 2024)
-Books, Boxes, and other goodies shipped out shortly after that.
-The Video and Audio assets will probably be released in batches, but we will get them to you as soon as they are ready.
