The overwhelming support and enthusiasm from the community have been both humbling and inspiring. Now, we're gearing up to elevate Macabre to new heights.

Macabre is a unique gaming experience that blends elements of stealth, horror, and cooperative gameplay into a genre we call 'Stealth Extraction Horror'. You will be plunged into an unstable time rift, where you and your friends must navigate infinite timelines, including those of other players. The goal? To extract valuable resources to upgrade your gear and escape, all while avoiding detection by the horrifying interdimensional terrors that lurk within the rift.



A unique blend of atmospheric environments, intelligent monsters, and suspense-filled gameplay. Macabres' world is meticulously crafted, with detailed environments that will draw you into the unsettling reality of the time rift. The monsters, inspired by real-world predators, display calculated behaviours and adapt to your actions, creating a constant sense of tension and unpredictability. The absence of traditional combat mechanics places an emphasis on strategic thinking and resourcefulness, making every decision critical to your survival.



When you first encounter a monster, it assesses your presence, determining whether you are a threat or potential prey. As the monster becomes more familiar with you, It may become more aggressive, testing your resilience and adaptability. If you repeatedly rely on the same survival strategy, the monster will adapt and deploy alternate behaviours. You will need to employ perfectly timed distractions, stuns, or even sacrifices to navigate encounters with the creatures.



Our focus is on building an immersive atmosphere that constantly keeps you on edge, leaving you guessing if every corner turn could be your last. By harnessing the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5, we create intricate and detailed environments that bring to life our dark and foreboding vision of Macabre. The engine's power enables us to push the boundaries of indie horror games, delivering an immersive experience that engages on multiple levels.



We believe in playing to our strengths. That's why, we've chosen to focus on what we excel at: incredible digital art. As we pour our heart and soul into the game, we'll ensure each digital reward is meticulously handcrafted. We're Weforge Studio, a couple of mates from Sydney who decided to mash up our film and audio backgrounds with our love for gaming. We're proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and eager to bring our full vision for Macabre to life.
Our plan is to build Macabre in phases. First up is our Alpha release, which takes you to our first location – Snowgum Retreat. The reception of this Alpha will guide our next moves – new maps, new equipment, and more menacing monsters get your heart pumping.
By releasing the game in instalments, we can consolidate our efforts to deliver a far more polished experience that stays true to our vision.
