Get Ready for Toomuchery by Helen Dardik: Whimsical Wooden Puzzles

After our successful Bumfuzzled and Party in the Back projects, Puzzle Bomb is back with a four puzzle series, partnering with the wonderfully talented illustrator, Helen Dardik.

Each puzzle features its own unique cut style, marrying Helen's colorful, whimsical watercolors with a cut style that complements the piece.

Toomuchery #1: Sunshine Drops

Sunshine Drops features a boatload of color-line cutting, meaning the cuts follow the edges of Helen's paint strokes. However, the line cuts are often interrupted by protruding nobs, giving you a hint at the color/texture of the neighboring piece.

This puzzle also includes a number of voids, which increases the difficulty a bit.

Toomuchery #2: Galloping Bloom

Galloping Bloom features 20 horse whimsies, so if you're into whimsy pieces, this one is chock full! The joinery also keeps with the theme, consisting of horseshoe and floral shapes.

It also contains a large line-cut central horse that is entirely push-fit, only locked into place by the surrounding puzzle.

Toomuchery #3: Spring Messenger

Spring Messenger is held together by continuous, vine-shaped pieces that wind and weave their way through the puzzle. It also contains line cutting around the various characters in Helen's work, with the large central figure being it's own little push-fit puzzle.

Toomuchery #4: Embroidering Rainbow

Embroidering Rainbows feature many small voids throughout the puzzle, and is otherwise random-cut, other than color-line cutting around many of the characters.
