Wuffy started out as a small, stuffed dog that the author and her brother would imagine had magical powers to help his friends when his magic lint ball would twitch and alert Wuffy that he was needed. The stories grew from there. As a retired teacher, Helen has made it her mission to share these stories, helping to entertain and inspire creativity in young readers, and helping them problem-solve through social emotional issues, such as how to be a friend and what friendship looks like.
When you donate to Wuffy and the Magic Lintball, you are helping to get more good books into the hands of kids, helping to fund charitable organizations like animal rescues and kids with Autism, and, most of all, you are getting great quality books written and illustrated by award-winning educator, Helen Rogosin. With each donation, the possibilities to grow the stories, characters, and children's imaginations expands, empowering kids as readers and writers and helping them to become life-long learners. Part of the donations raised will go towards making a book trailer and books that will be accessible to blind and low-vision children, as well as children that are deaf or hard of hearing. All children deserve an equal chance to access children’s literature.
Once this campaign launches, you will have the opportunity to earn amazing rewards like signed copies of the first book, a book and limited edition signed art print by the author and illustrator, a plush Wuffy , a Wuffy T-shirt featuring Wuffy that asks, “What’s YOUR superpower ?” with Wuffy and the Unpack Your Own Happy smiling sun logo in adult or child sizes, plus special bonus rewards of a Zoom session with the author/Illustrator where she answers questions and does a drawing activity.
In addition , at our Angel Reward Level is a chance to donate books to charities of your choice, plus the book, print, plush Wuffy that everyone asks for once they see him AND a hand-drawn sketch by Helen signed by her. In order to fund more printings to donate to nonprofits close to our hearts such as helping children and homeless pets, we need your support. Who knows, you may even have your child or pet featured in an upcoming book!
