Terminal Directive is a 36-page murder mystery set in a sandbox sector of Prospero’s Dream, a race against the clock to solve a murder before it occurs.
Each day a chaotic search for clues before everything resets. A cascading and faulty time-loop where if too long is taken, horrifying glitches in reality begin to occur.
Terminal Directive takes place in a standalone sector within Prospero’s Dream, linking loosely to a number of standing organizations and characters that reside within the towering space station.
The module contains numerous ways for an inquisitive party to “solve” the murder, alongside the dilemma of personal gain vs risking the more devastating and permanent effects of the time-loop’s breakdown.
/ What’s the plot?
Professor Harton is dead... at least... she was.
An expert in space-time manipulation, the professor has rigged a haphazardly designed, localized gravity-emitter that will reverse time 24 hours upon her demise.
The local sector now lies in the past, and the professor’s A.I Terminal, (P.A.I.G.E), is desperately trying to track down its missing creator, hiring anyone within reach who seems like they might be up to the task.
Having never been used before, the time-loop is far from stable. And the more resets that occur, the more that time and matter begin to break down. To make things worse, the Professor was far from a simple woman, with drugs, gambling, and shady figures all standing menacingly in her fallen shadow.
The party arrive as things are looking bleak.
They aren’t the first group to try and solve the murder and stop the loop, but if they don’t do something soon, they WILL be the last.
/ Where does this fit into Prospero’s Dream?
Terminal Directive resides within a violent decaying sector of the Dream. A failed hub of industrial, commercial, and residential habitats that sought a brighter, safer future; only to end up just short of being cast into the putrid mire that is Doptown.
The sector lies on the fringes of the Dream, far from the bright lights of upper floors. It’s a place to become lost, a place to seek temporary refuge for those who still believe they can make it out in one piece.

*Note: To receive Cross-Collaboration rewards, you will need to have backed our collaboration partner's campaign: Hunters - Grab more info on Cross-Collaboration below. MSRP & % Discounts are estimates. Exchange Rates do alter amounts slightly.
Cross-Collaboration is an amazing Backerkit feature that allows two campaigns to work together, creating a bonus product for Backers that grab rewards from both projects.
Terminal Directive (Burning Light Press) is working together with Hunters (Green Beetle Games) to create a bonus Brochure Module, Ratcatchers.
Ratcatchers acts as a harrowing side-quest to Terminal Directive, a prequel adventure to Hunters, or a standalone module for your players to lose their lives within.
Set in the slum districts of Terminal Directive, it pits all-new and heavy hitting Hunters against a party that stumbles into a realm they are far from welcome in. A place filled with haunting secrets and bloody remains.
This year, we're trying something different. Nearly every Mothership Month project is part of a shared shipping initiative. That means:
One pledge manager. When Mothership Month ends, you’ll receive one combined pledge manager survey for all participating projects — our “mega pledge manager.” That means just one survey and one shipping payment for multiple projects.
One shipping charge. Because these projects will ship together, you’ll only pay shipping once, saving you money.
One fulfillment timeline. All participating campaigns are scheduled to ship at the same time, ensuring your rewards arrive together.
Two exceptions. Only two creators (Bombs Bursting in Air and Roach Motel) have opted out of this group fulfillment plan; their shipping will be handled separately. Why did they opt out? These two projects are very close to being ready to fulfill, and it didn't make sense to their teams to wait.
Estimated Shipping
Below is a table of estimated shipping prices based on weight. You can see at the bottom what the estimated weights are for different items. Prospero's Dream should be around the same weight (maybe slightly lighter) than the Mothership Core Set. Additionally, if you order several items you'll incur a small charge for additional items, which varies based on your country.
This does not include any applicable VAT or taxes. A reminder that these shipping prices are an estimate and its possible they will change based on global conditions beyond our control.
When will these projects ship? Our collective goal is to have all Mothership Month 2025 projects fulfilled before Mothership Month 2026 begins. Some projects are further along than others, so their timeline for digital rewards will vary. But we have roughly a year to fulfill before Mothership Month 2026, which gives everyone enough time to finish up and get their products to our warehouse.
Terminal Directive Digital Fulfillment
Terminal Directive will be fulfilling its digital rewards primarily through DTRPG (DriveThruRPG). Current plans should have the digital product in your hands by the end of January 2026.
What is Mothership Month?
Every year, Tuesday Knight Games and dozens of third-party creators launch new Mothership projects around a shared theme. This year’s theme (“The Dream Returns”) centers on Prospero’s Dream, the infamous X-Class back-world, black market space station. Each project ties back to the Dream in some way. Not only that, but we'll be opening up Prospero's Dream as a shared setting for all third-party creators going forward.
