Two years ago we created the minimalist core rules of Fängelsehåla (or just Fäng). The goal of the design was to support GMs to run a zero prep dungeon crawl using random tables, enhanced by elegant rules that are fun at the table.
With community support, we are growing this concept by providing a new tool that will make your games easier to run, with even more options!
The Fäng Dungeon Bestiary provides 36 custom-made monsters illustrated in the vintage children book style that has become the hallmark of the game. It will also provide new tables for Dwellers, Objects and Challenges to keep your dungeons fresh!
The illustrations are being done by both Garry Snow, the original writer and illustrator of Fäng - along with a new addition to the team - Erin Green, who is renowned for her Mary Blair style illustration tutorials on the Children of the Craft youtube page.
Fäng is great introduction for new TTRPG players, conventions, or last minute games. The rules are easy to learn and even easier to run! All rolls are player facing, allowing the Doomsayer (GM) to concentrate on just making the game fun. No more looking up rules and tedious combat - everything is lightweight and super fast!
We have also maximilized the fun at the table with our tactile use of dice stacking for tracking damage and trauma on your DOOM STACK! There are three different colors of dice that are used for actions, doom and luck, making it easy to understand what is happening in the game.
If this is your first encounter with Fäng - not to worry - we got you covered with bundles or add-ons that will catch you up and get you started having fun at the table! You also get a discount by combining them in bundles!
Along with the Dungeon Bestiary, we now have a total of 4 zines that make up the offerings for Fäng, including the Core Rules, Eye of Kee-Ya starting adventure, and King Kringle holiday adventure.

The Quick Rules Postcard has all the info needed to play the game on the front/back for easy reference. It is the same dimensions as all Fäng zines for easy packing and storing between games!
We have two official adventures by Dieku Games, along with the Fun With Fang Adventure Jam which provided 9 creative adventures to expand your games into the future!
Raspberry Juice is an adventure for Fängelsehåla designed by Omer Shapira, and is loosely based on the plot of a popular Israeli children’s storybook called “Mitz Petel” (raspberry juice in Hebrew).
If you back both projects, you will receive a Cross-Collaboration item of a jointly created 8-page digital activity book of ephemera that you would find in the back of comic books and kids magazines.
All printing and shipping is done from Canada, which is not impacted by any US tariffs under the USMCA agreement. Shipping will be the lowest cost we can provide while maintaining the safe delivery of the product.
