Hi, I’m DM Dan — lifelong roleplayer, world-builder, and professional overthinker of fictional consequences.
I run Godstar Games, where I make story-heavy tabletop and play-by-email RPGs that care deeply about player choice, continuity, and the ripple effects of bad decisions made at 2am. I’ve been involved in roleplay games since the 1980s, which means I remember when everything was text, dice were dangerous, and nobody min-maxed on purpose.
Godstar Games blends old-school RPG sensibilities with modern tools (including AI, used carefully and ethically) to help worlds feel alive, reactive, and occasionally judgemental. The AI doesn’t replace the GM — it just helps me remember everything you did three months ago and politely hold you accountable.
Alongside games, I also work on bespoke interactive simulations exploring trauma-aware design, neurodivergent thinking, and meaningful decision-making — which turns out to be surprisingly useful when designing believable worlds and NPCs.
If you like multiplayer worlds, slow-burn stories, long arcs, strange lore, and games that actually remember your nonsense… welcome aboard.
