A collection of mini pins for the Pocket Change group project launching August 2026, inspired by gravemarkers in my local cemetery, with an eldritch/celestial twist.
This week I've worked up the finished versions of the first two pins for this project; Eldritch and Celestial Cherubs!
I had a lot of fun working on these! 😁
I also have 'roughs' of two more pins based on a gravestone I saw in the cemetery across the road from me which I found pretty funny:
Something about a realtive taking the opportunity to pay someone to carve a full-on fancy hand, ribbon and flowers into a headstone so the dead person could chastise all visitors about their behaviour from the grave just really tickled me! 😂
I'm planning to add another Eldritch/Celestial pair of pins I think, and today I'll be working on my collab pin for the Pintober group collab!
I'll also be collaborating with PhaseMoth again! We'll be doing free stickers from each of us for everyone who backs both projects, so why not give her Frightful Furbs campaign a follow too. 😉
You may have noticed that this campaign launches in a few weeks but I haven't added any WIPs or updated the banner in a while! 😅 Tbh I somewhat over-commited to projects this year and therefore am starting work on this collection a fair bit later than I was hoping to, but I AM launching this project and have been doing some reference sketching from my photos of my local graveyard on and off over the last couple of weeks. Here are a few sketchbook pages for your perusal: My plan is to create a smaller collection for this project inspired by gravestone details and statues from the cemetary, with a bit of a eldritch/celestial twist.
