Vault of the Seven is a mythic dungeon-crawl for the Cypher System, where players seek seven vanished children bearing divine sparks. Inside a shifting ziggurat, they’ll face divine trials, uncover ancient truths, and choose whether to protect the childre
"The Septemvirate—seven divine figures—once sacrificed themselves to seal away an ancient threat in the Pangelyss realm. Their story was thought to have ended. Now, seven children from a remote village have vanished—each one mysteriously awakened with a spark of divine essence. They disappeared the night their powers ignited. The only trace? A rift in the air, and the shape of a massive ziggurat looming in the distance beyond it. Those who tried to follow saw the impossible architecture—an ancient Vault of shifting stone and divine echoes—but turned back, too afraid to enter. The powers that be have now conscripted you to find the children, learn the truth, and make a terrible choice:,
Do you protect them and allow their ascension?
Or stop them before they become something else entirely?"
Welcome to the Chorus of a new realm... Vault of the Seven- A Septemvirate Legacy introduction
Built from the ground up for Cypher System play, this project emphasizes:
· Fast, flexible GM tools
· Player-driven discovery and choice
· Encounters that adapt instead of restrict
· Story-first mechanics that support big decisions This is a world of Wuxia-style action and pulp adventure, where Afrofuturist myth-tech surges with a super heroic edge
Whether you run it as a campaign centerpiece or weave it into an existing game, the Vault is ready.
This is a dungeon meant to be explored over time—returned to, reconsidered, and never fully mastered.
The First Glimpse of the Septemvirate Legacy
Vault of the Seven is your introduction to the Septemvirate Legacy—an unfolding setting of divine influence, hidden powers, and world-altering truths.
You don’t need to know anything going in.
But by the end, you’ll begin to see:
· The forces behind the divine sparks
· The larger role the Seven were meant to play
· The conflicts that will define future adventures
This campaign is dedicated to bringing this project to life with the level of quality it deserves. Funding will go directly toward commissioning professional artwork, refining layout and graphic design, and covering printing costs to produce a polished final product. Each of these elements plays a crucial role in transforming the project from a concept into a tangible, immersive experience you can hold in your hands. Any amounts over the funding goal will be used to enhance this project to premium levels.
My goal is not just to create great content, but to present it in a way that enhances usability, readability, and visual impact at the table. With your support, we can ensure the final product meets a high standard of craftsmanship while remaining true to the spirit of the Cypher System and the community that inspires it.
I’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Monte Cook Games for their continued support, inspiration, and dedication to the Cypher System. Their commitment to fostering creativity and empowering storytellers has made an enormous impact on both creators and players alike. The elegance and flexibility of the system have allowed so many unique worlds and experiences to flourish, and we are grateful to build upon that foundation.
I'm equally thankful to the Cypher System community—designers, game masters, and players—whose passion, feedback, and enthusiasm help keep this ecosystem vibrant and evolving. Your ideas, encouragement, and shared love of storytelling make projects like this possible, and we’re proud to be part of such a welcoming and imaginative community.
Player expression sits at the heart of everything I create. My work blends Wuxia-inspired martial philosophy, pulp adventure, Afrofuturism, and superheroic myth into a cohesive creative vision I call Neo-Mythic Afropunk—a genre rooted in motion, transformation, and legacy.
I’ve designed and published multiple Cypher System projects on DriveThruRPG, spanning fantasy, superhero, and horror, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as a designer and editor on the Diamond Throne setting for the Cypher System, helping shape its evolution for modern play. Each project has been a step toward refining a style that prioritizes cinematic storytelling, player agency, and systems that invite creativity rather than constrain it.
Septemvirate Legacy represents the culmination of that journey so far—a living world and modular framework built to empower both players and GMs to tell stories that are dynamic, personal, and mythic in scale. My goal is simple: to create experiences that don’t just tell stories, but linger—stories that echo after the table is cleared.
At the core of this work is where it all began. My father, who is no longer with me, was my earliest champion—the one who first made me believe I could create something worth sharing. My brother, also gone, placed comics in my hands and taught me to read at four years old, opening the door to every world that followed. And my wife, Elana, is my constant muse—the one who listens, supports, and fuels every bold, improbable idea I bring to life. This work carries all of them forward with it.
