π Discover Mexico's unique towns and culture in this beautiful game for 2β4 players. Fast-paced, quick-to-learn, and with satisfying plays. Collect resources, complete tourist routes for Anecdote card for max happiness points. Designed in Mexico π²π½
Each player guides four tourists with different itineraries, but everyone is traveling through the same group of pueblos. Every visit creates a small choice between the trip you planned and the opportunity in front of you: a visible souvenir you can use, a hidden one that may surprise you, or the last keepsake that lets you claim the town as a postcard.
Completing a route gives you an Anecdote Card, and those cards change what kind of journey you are building. Photographs, Lele dolls, good experiences, postcards, and Tourism, Tradition, and Barter symbols score in different ways, and the same souvenir can contribute to several Anecdotes at once.
Other tourists may crowd the place you need, and an off-route stop adds Annoyance. Those penalties matter, but they never forbid a move. The fun is deciding when to follow the plan, when to improvise, and when one inconvenient moment is worth a much better story.
Taking the last souvenir from a Pueblo Card earns it as a postcard and brings a new destination into play. Because tourists already there remain in position, the map can change around them, and a stop that looked perfect a moment ago may suddenly offer something completely different.
Four Tourists, Four Routes
Each of your tourists follows a different sequence of location types. You are not solving one itinerary at a time; you are deciding which tourist can make the best use of the map now, which one should wait, and whether an imperfect stop is still worth taking.
Visible Finds, Hidden Surprises
Some souvenirs show exactly what they offer, while others must be chosen without knowing what is underneath. A mystery tile could become the photograph, Lele doll, good experience, symbol, or Apapacho Point that brings several Anecdotes together.
Annoyances That Create Real Choices
Crowded locations and off-route stops give you Annoyance tokens, but they are not forbidden. Sometimes the awkward choice secures a postcard, completes a route, or takes the exact souvenir another player was hoping to collect.
On your turn, take two journeys. For each one, either place a tourist who has not started yet in any location, or move a tourist already on the map to the other location in its town or to a location in either adjacent town.
Need to travel farther? Flip your Bus Ticket to send that tourist to any location on the map. It is a powerful shortcut, but using it costs one Apapacho Point at the end of the game.
Collect a Souvenir
After moving, choose any souvenir from that Pueblo Card, whether it is face-up or face-down. Place it in the next open space on that touristβs route, keeping it in the same face-up or face-down orientation.
Hidden souvenirs add a small gamble: you select them without knowing what they contain, but you may privately inspect your own face-down tiles afterward. The location you visited (not the souvenir itself) determines whether the stop matches your route.
Resolve Annoyances and Claim Towns
Take one Annoyance token if another tourist shares your location, and one more if the location type does not match the current space on your route. A single stop can therefore give you two Annoyances, so timing and positioning matter.
When you take the last souvenir, keep that Pueblo Card as a postcard. Replace it with a new town and refill its souvenirs; any tourists already there remain in the same position as the map changes around them.
Complete Routes and Score Your Journey
When a tourist fills every souvenir space, move it to the end of its route and take an Anecdote Card from the market or the deck. Anecdotes reward different collections, and every souvenir can count toward all compatible Anecdotes.
Once every tourist has completed their route, score your Anecdotes and one point for each postcard. Lose one point for every Annoyance and one point if you used your Bus Ticket; the player with the most Apapacho Points wins.
