🌅 Discover Mexico's unique towns and culture in this beautiful game for 2–4 players. Fast-paced, quick-to-learn, and with satisfying plays. Collect resources, complete tourist routes for Anecdote card for max happiness points. Designed in Mexico 🇲🇽
Welcome to Pueblos México, a vibrant journey through the heart of Mexico! You and your friends become tourists exploring some of the country’s most charming towns, wandering through colorful markets, cobblestone streets, traditional celebrations, natural landscapes, and unforgettable local attractions.
During the game, you will move your tourists across a shared map, collect valuable souvenirs, take memorable photographs, discover handmade Lele dolls, and enjoy wonderful experiences. Each tourist follows a personal travel route, and completing those routes rewards you with Anecdote Cards that introduce new ways to score at the end of the game.
But every journey has its complications! Crowded locations, poorly planned stops, and detours from your intended itinerary will earn you Annoyance tokens that reduce your final score. Carefully plan your movements, collect the right combinations of souvenirs, claim towns as postcards, and create the most memorable travel story.
The game ends once every tourist has completed their route. The player with the most Apapacho Points—representing the warmth, hospitality, and heartfelt connection experienced throughout the journey—wins the game!
🗺️ A Constantly Changing Map of Mexico: Travel between Pueblo Cards arranged in a shared map. Whenever a player collects the final souvenir from a town, they claim it as a postcard and immediately replace it with a new destination, keeping every journey fresh and unpredictable.
🧳 Personal Travel Routes: Each of your four tourists follows a different route on your Travel Journal. You must visit locations of the correct type and collect souvenirs in the proper order, rewarding careful planning and efficient movement across the map.
🛎️ Face-Up and Hidden Souvenirs: Pueblo Cards are supplied with Tourism, Tradition, and Barter souvenirs drawn randomly from cloth bags. Some are revealed while others remain face-down, adding mystery and discovery to every stop.
😖 Annoyances Along the Way: Sharing a location with another tourist or collecting a souvenir from the wrong type of location gives you Annoyance tokens. Every Annoyance reduces your final score, so the most direct route is not always the smartest one.
Plan Two Journeys. On your turn, perform two journeys. Choose a tourist that has not yet started and place it on any location, or move a tourist already on the map to a different location in the same town or an adjacent town. You may flip your Bus Ticket to travel anywhere on the map instead.
Collect a Souvenir. After moving, take any face-up or face-down souvenir from the Pueblo Card and place it in the next empty space of that tourist’s route, preserving its face-up or face-down orientation. You may secretly inspect your own hidden souvenirs at any time.
Resolve Annoyances and Claim Towns. Gain one Annoyance token if another tourist occupies your location, and another Reif the location type does not match the current space of your route. When you take the final souvenir from a town, claim its card as a postcard, reveal a replacement Pueblo Card, and refill it with new souvenirs from the corresponding bags.
Complete Routes and Score Your Journey. When a tourist fills every souvenir space, move it to the end of its route and take an Anecdote Card from the market or deck. The game ends when every tourist has completed their route. Score Apapacho Points from your Anecdotes and postcards, then lose points for Annoyances and for using your Bus Ticket. The traveler with the most Apapacho Points wins!
