The Proximity Logger continuously records nearby devices within a 400-foot radius. If something happens, you have a secure, time-stamped proximity history that can be exported for legitimate investigative purposes.

Most vehicle tracking systems — like Ford Pro, NissanConnect, or OnStar — are hardwired into the vehicle, making them easy to locate, disable, or remove.

We didn’t start with renders. We started with stickers, solder, and signals. Digital Tripwire didn’t start as a safety product.

It began as a system to capture retail foot traffic and retarget it with digital ads. We built the hardware. We built the backend. It worked.

But it wasn’t why we kept going.

As the system evolved, we realized the same technology could do something far more important: create a quiet record of proximity that could help find missing children — or help prevent them from disappearing in the first place.

That realization changed everything.

We explored multiple form factors designed for real-world use: pins, hair clips, stickers, tags, and embedded devices. One of our earliest prototypes was a transparent sticker meant to be completely invisible. In practice, the chip was too large — and the sticker wasn’t invisible at all.

So we kept iterating.

Not every design or modality was abandoned. Some worked. Some showed promise. We plan to revisit them in the future.

For this Kickstarter, we made a deliberate choice to focus on three proven device finishes — the versions we trust, have tested, and are ready to ship.
