I got the printed flyers and booklets, and now it's time to pack them into bundles. Some need to be folded to insert more pieces. Then the extra pop-up card and the booklet are added. Finally, a paper banderole holds everything together. That means everything has to pass through my hands again, and that takes some time. But we're still on time for the group shipment. 140 bundles are ready now; there are just a few missing. I can't wait to get it shipped to the fulfillment partner!
The Backerkit survey finally launched and I ordered the printed versions now. Last week I received some print test to check if the paper quality is still the same like last year. If it´s too shiny and glossy the glue will not stick, and the popup dungeon will not be very stable. To test it I assembled stinkcity one more time and I completely lost track one how many times I build Stinkcity.
The paper tests came out nice, and hopefully the printed version will come out good too. If everything is delivered to me, I will need to pack every piece into one big package. But I´m optimistic that everything is done in June.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful time—here's a small update from me. The Massive Pledge Manager is still not ready, but I started to prepare the physical copies of the Stairs of Stinkcity anyway. It takes some extra steps to get that card ready, and because it's time-consuming, I wanted to start early here to avoid a delay.
So far I have 90 pieces ready, out of 131 physical backers (right now, this could get more after the survey). So I have some more to make!
First, I would like to thank you all for your patience. We're still waiting for the massive pledge manager, but it will take some time and even if it's online, it would take more time until everyone submitted the survey. This is mainly relevant for the physical copies, but I think for the digital rewards there is no need to wait longer. And I know some of you are already waiting for it. So all backers now receive a link to the itch.io page to download the digital rewards (see info below). The download link will be sent again after the massive pledge manager is ready.
I made a new instruction video in English with the new format for the crowdfunding version. https://peertube.pnpde.social/w/8aKXgmYzGGpDPrVx3XKnDV This video is on PeerTube, so you can watch it without ads and interruptions.
For the printed version: we need to follow the timeline of the other projects. This means waiting for the massive pledge manager, getting the results of the survey, and then I can order the printed versions. The shipment is also along with the others. Unfortunately I can't speed up anything on this timeline, but I am incredibly thankful for the organization and fulfillment of this whole project.
If you have a problem with the download link or find a mistake, please contact me. I would be happy to help you.
I hope you’ve had a great start to the new year — here’s a small update from me. I would like to send you a preview of the foldable card: stairways to stinkcity to all my backers.
Crowdfunding is over and now the fun part begins. First: thank you all for your support. Second: the payment process was carried out a bit later, because there was a hiccup in the system. With a bit back and forth between stripe and backerkit support team, this issue should be resolved now.
Stinkcity is part of the group shipment, so the timeline for the next steps depends on the other projects and creators. But I will keep you up to date in every step. Right now the process for delivery of the digital pledges needs to get installed, but this will be expectedly finished in January/February.
For now, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
