Cryptid Cities is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game about a crew of Scoutsreuniting to tackle malevolent supernatural forces a decade after the events of Cryptid Creeks.
The sequel begins with a series of unexplained events causing havoc on the streets of Santa Río. Realising this new threat, the Watcher—a benevolent and protective cryptid—approaches the now-adult Scouts to remind them of their pledge to protect Clawfoot.

Cryptid Creeks was inspired by Gravity Falls, Eerie Indiana, and the Lumberjanes comics. Cities is much darker, adding the Stephen King novels IT and Needful Things to its touchstones.
Our mechanics are based in part on Apocalypse World by Vincent and Meguey Baker, with the mystery system and phase structure lifted from the Carved from Brindlewood game Brindlewood Bay.
For the sequel, we're introducing the unique Playbook Paths mechanic, a new antagonist with their own campaign, and 8 diabolical Curses that are sure to bring the horror.
The hardcover will be printed to the highest quality and feature ribbon bookmarks, a foil stamped cover, and a fold-out map of the city from artist Fernando Salvaterra. As with the first game, expect beautiful human made art throughout by our team of talented artists.
For this crowdfund, we're also making the solorules available to backers. In Tendrils, you'll play a teen motorcycle enthusiast sent to stay with their Great Aunt Hilda, only to be pitted against an awakened eldritch power.
