Hello, the project has been amazing, thank you thank you thank you!!! I can't tell you what it means to me to have so many people supporting my art.
first, this project closes in a couple days, you can get two free pins by backing both my project and Reach for the stars.
second we unlocked the voting level on day 1, I created a poll and then you voted.
I took the top 3 voted on designs and I drew them up, along with a design I wanted to make. Vote on this poll and I'll make the most popular 2! SOOO EXCITING!! Can't wait to see what you vote for!
As a side note, I wanted to make sure some of you understand what backerkit is for. The purpose, is that it's expensive to order items... and doing it this way means that I do all the work, then you tell me what you want, and if enough people want it, YOU PAY to have it made. This means the artist is able to order the correct amount and not lose money by ordering too much. It also means that we work together to gather the funds to create these items together!! Yay! We are a team!
The cons of crowdfunding is that the last couple of projects, Ive had a few people who didnt pay or do surveys. Here's the problems.
late payments- we all have bad weeks, and that's ok. If it takes a couple weeks to get your payment fixed, that's totally OK!! Please just make sure your payment is fixed when surveys are due. If you are making a pledge and no have no intention of paying before that survey date... don't do that lol. Please make sure to fix your payment when the survey is due.
If you don't ever pay- If you don't EVER pay, I spend my time messaging you and asking you to pay, and then I'm forced into paying for the items myself, and hoping you'll pay me back. OR if I cancel your order... it changes my funding goals and means backers might not get the freebies they were excited about. for some reason, the people who do this the most often usually pledge $300.
If you wait to pay until the project is almost over- Unfortunately the point of crowdfunding is to pay for the items before I buy them. So if you aren't paying before I buy them... you're asking me to borrow money. I get that crowdfunding can be scary, and you want to make sure I make the items. But please pay by the deadline so that you're not borrowing money or holding up the project. If your pledge is larger... Sometimes we have to wait to make the order so we can afford it. And that means you're making everyone wait on you.
If you don't do the survey- I set a deadline because that's when I'm making the order. If you wait for a few days... not a huge deal. But some people wait 2 months to fill out the survey. I get it, we are all busy. But I count up the numbers and make the order based on what you asked for. When you don't tell me what you want, Its stressful. It makes me have to wait... which forces ALL the other backers to wait for their items longer. Eventually, I am forced to order without your survey. Which means I have to order extras with my money and hope that there is enough. Unfortunately this means that my last project, because someone with a $325 pledge did their survey 2 months late... I did not have enough of a pin and was forced to reorder 30 (manufacturers have minimums) to fulfill 2 pins.
I'm not trying to guilt trip anyone, and stuff happens. If you have a family emergency or a problem, you can send me an email and I'm happy to help figure it out. But I want to make sure that everyone knows what expectations there are so that we are all on the same page! I love designing, I love making stuff! I love Backerkit and as you know, I get everything done smoothly and quickly. Packed up nice, shipped fast.
TIMELINE as of now: Sept 9th- Project ends and initial pledges charged Sept 23rd - Surveys go out
Oct 7th - Surveys close, charged for add-ons and shipping
Oct 10th - Freebies removed from orders with unfinished surveys. (all payments fixed by this date please!!)
Oct 10th - All items ordered DEC- All items received
DEC-JAN - Fulfillment begins
JAN 31 or when the orders are done shipping- Project fully closed and rewards no longer provided

I have fixed the bean add ons! For some reason (probably my fault) they were being hidden from everyone, and Im so sorry! You can go in and change your pledge or add them on. Thanks for letting me know
