I forgot if I posted about this or not but I did receive it with the Frankencorgi claw. I didn't make the Kitsune one yet since it's more simple anyways with like two colors.
I need to ask about the bottoms of this. I've been wearing this and the Frankencorgi one since I received them and they hold hair just fine despite my concerns.
I may change the face to just be like the corgi one with the tongue sticking out. The art felt like it looked better as a design than it does as a physical product. If you have one of the corgi claws, it is the same size as that. The base is just smaller because of how I changed the bottom of the design.
I don't have particularly thin or thick hair so I am not sure what people will think. Maybe I'll have some family try it over Thanksgiving and give me some feedback.
Anyways, opinions welcome! I have time to fix this still. I'll edit or share in discord/FB about the bottom of the claw being so different later.
I feel like my manufacturer disappeared about my hair claws, so I will poke them again. Here are a few of the Kitsune designs that I am gonna sample for pins at some point as well.
I have a small kitsune design too, but I haven't finished it as a sticker yet. Still need to finish the fox design so I will share that once I have it done. Then I think other than waiting for hair claw samples, this project will be ready for launch.
Maybe I'll do a dark Kitsune hair claw or something as well lol but then I may feel obligated for a dark Kitsune plushie (not that I can even get the regular kitsune plush to look how I want atm).
As for the pins, I will probably do a gradient for the smoke designs. I should not do rainbow metal but also.. I love rainbow metal lol. I have to think on it some.

I am in the process of finishing stickers for another project and I was curious on your thoughts of me adding the designs as pins to this project as stretch goals.
Would that be of interest? Since my projects going forward will all be much smaller scope and have completed samples in advance before launch, shouldn't be a big deal. I don't have finalized samples of claws for this project just yet.
I still have to make some fox designs as well but figured I would ask since I was already considering sampling these in case people were interested. If not, I can make this part of a different project in the future. I know the main goal is hair claws but figured I could just combine it since it would be Kitsune and Fox designs anyways.
I feel like other than the mouth, I am mostly happy with these colors. I will probably just swap the mouth color from that dark pearl gray to the brown, make the tongue a darker pink and call it good. I'll verify in person how I feel about it.
I am waiting on updates still, but I asked for permission to make a claw of David Hasselfluff. He's such a cute fluffer!

I also sketched out this Golden Retriever and I had a husky design but I want to revise it. As easy as it is to use the corgi base for the claw, I feel like it needs to be adjusted some.

These claws will likely be sampled along side a pin and plush set. Just figured since I had this project already set aside, I'd just go ahead and let ya'll know what the plans are. If you know people interested in these animals, feel free to let them know it'll be in the works with an undetermined timeline.
I really always think I have more time to do things than I actually do. = p 2026 is relatively convention free though (I think I have 2... for the whole year), so I will have way more time to work on everything either way.
I am trying to make them do a pearly tongue even though they say it is too small. We'll see. I am waiting on them to verify what they can do. I know I have seen other artists get smaller cutouts on claws, so I am still pushing for it.
It should hold as well as the corgi claws do, but I will request the samples in person for testing before I say yes to this. I don't know how much it matters for the number of claws, but I feel like it should definitely have one more. They said it will be fine though.
I don't know how many pics I will get of these so I will update you once I have anything, either in hand or photos from them. The nose will be the black pearl and I feel like it's the same size as the tongue, which is why I am trying to push them to do it.
Once samples finish, I will open for opinions. I think the orange they picked is also not red enough. I need to go back through my samples I guess and double check lol. It has been a busy month already, so I will try and stay up to date on these. I don't dislike this orange either way, I just have a more reddish-orange preference but know hair claws do not have the full range of colors either way.
Opinions welcome as always. I will update you guys if I change anything before this starts the sample though. Since the fox and kitsune have the same head shape, I really want the tongue to work for both.
