🐇 The High Priestess
🐰 In tarot readings, the High Priestess represents hidden knowledge, intuition, and the unconscious. She reminds us to look within and trust our intuition, and explore our inner selves. She also represents duality and the spaces between - light and dark, good and evil, masculine and feminine, and so on. The snowshoe hare with her coat just beginning to turn from white to brown reflects this liminal space betwixt and between.

In Kodiak, the river otter is often referred to as the land otter. The accompaniment of magpie tracks with the land otter suggests a union of the earth and air, or spiritual and physical realms.
