Classes
Pirates, smugglers, raiders, whatever you call them, they have a bond to their crew and want to prove themselves competent in the Pirate Fraternity. They utilize Contacts as a resource to shape the narrative. Heavy Cybernetics alters the playstyle, favoring speed and intellect. Overcoming fear can help a pirate reduce stress, but when overwhelmed by fear, their stress increases rapidly.
Security Agents are bought mercenaries that more often than not have someone pulling the strings. Debts create ulterior motives and hidden agendas within the group. Requisition script from the security firm can be used to improve gear from the restricted items on the Dream to Drones that can be your eyes and ears in dangerous territory, or help defend against a swarm of monsters.
Contacts and Script
Work with loadouts or alternative roll tables to build unique characters. Contacts help players introduce elements of the story through helpful or not-so-helpful NPCs. Those deputized by the security firm use the Requisition Script. Gain Requisition Script and spend it on equipment from the restricted section of the department's armory.
NEW Drones, Cybertech, and Weapons
With Prospero's Dream having a strict policy against lethal, hull-piercing weapons, new tools are being used across the station. NEWDrones assist players in acquisition and surveillance, remote defense, or with bug-like SKTTR2400 infiltration and stealth capabilities. New Cybertech enables new uses of slicksockets and personal computer decks. New installations and tools enable evocative and creative gameplay, such as holographicprojection.
Alternative Loadouts
Create a diverse team of gameplay with the options of random generation loadouts, or crafting a random loadout per individual.
Ulterior Motives
With pirates trying to prove their WORTH and security agents beholden to a DEBT, these mechanisms give individual players ulterior motives to ramp up interparty tensions or, as a group, create a side quest that stresses their decisions to Save, Solve, or Survive.
Alternative Horrors
When delivering cargo from off-station, anything could be introduced to the system. Alternative horrors allow for modular gameplay, enabling you to extend any campaign or scenario to meet your needs or the whims of the dice.
Setting
The Dek
A vibrant neon labyrinth of indulgence and advertisement. The Dek has everything at every price. The pulsating atmosphere creates a mood of hedonism. Small shops, mega marts, and stalls line the streets, each tempting any passerby with VR Dream Rooms, hourly stay hotels, body and cyber modification, sleeve rentals, gambling, and most any vice … for a cost.
Jed's Video Emporium
Virtual cafes that allow users to experience anything they can imagine through VR Dream Rooms. Any contraband dream modules are highly taboo and actionable by The Court.
The Overlook
The remains of the last standing nightly hotel. Most others have converted to hourly rentals or sleep pods, no bigger than a person. The Overlook could rent out rooms and apartments for the ultra-wealthy, but is occupied by the crime family of the sector.
New You!
Dance, love, imbibe in a body with no repercussions! At this sleeve rental service, rent a sleeve for a limited time and jump back when you're ready to get back to the real world!
Killroom
A combat simulation center where you can test your strengths and try out any new sleeves.
A tri-fold pamphlet that puts you and your players aboard a luxury celebrity cruise. As you wine and dine among the galaxies, the most famous catastrophe strikes. You knew those free tickets for the Paradise were too good to be true.
This year, we're trying something different. Nearly every Mothership Month project is part of a shared shipping initiative. That means:
One pledge manager. When Mothership Month ends, you’ll receive one combined pledge manager survey for all participating projects — our “mega pledge manager.” That means just one survey and one shipping payment for multiple projects.
One shipping charge. Because these projects will ship together, you’ll only pay shipping once, saving you money.
One fulfillment timeline. All participating campaigns are scheduled to ship at the same time, ensuring your rewards arrive together.
Two exceptions. Only two creators (Bombs Bursting in Air and Roach Motel) have opted out of this group fulfillment plan; their shipping will be handled separately. Why did they opt out? These two projects are very close to being ready to fulfill, and it didn't make sense to their teams to wait.
Estimated Shipping
Below is a table of estimated shipping prices based on weight. You can see at the bottom what the estimated weights are for different items. Prospero's Dream should be around the same weight (maybe slightly lighter) than the Mothership Core Set. Additionally, if you order several items you'll incur a small charge for additional items, which varies based on your country.
This does not include any applicable VAT or taxes. A reminder that these shipping prices are an estimate and its possible they will change based on global conditions beyond our control.
When will these projects ship? Our collective goal is to have all Mothership Month 2025 projects fulfilled before Mothership Month 2026 begins. Some projects are further along than others, so their timeline for digital rewards will vary. But we have roughly a year to fulfill before Mothership Month 2026, which gives everyone enough time to finish up and get their products to our warehouse.
What is Mothership Month?
Every year, Tuesday Knight Games and dozens of third-party creators launch new Mothership projects around a shared theme. This year’s theme (“The Dream Returns”) centers on Prospero’s Dream, the infamous X-Class back-world, black market space station. Each project ties back to the Dream in some way. Not only that, but we'll be opening up Prospero's Dream as a shared setting for all third-party creators going forward.
Get your exclusive Supply Pod!
This year we're changing up the Supply Pods. Now there is just ONE BIG SUPPLY POD. It's unlocked once all projects fund and it improves as we hit more group achievements. How do you get the Supply Pod? Back 5 or more projects at the physical level and get access to all the cool goodies.
