For the Chaos die faces I really like the re-roll a certain number of closest die option, as well as reversed meanings. Maybe also an axis tilt? Make all the dice shift to the right or left one quarter (if using the reading mat). Or a complete re-roll face for all the die.
I'd love for the Chaos lord to be some sort of eldritch entity, specifically enochian angel vibes, too many eyes and wings. Or tentacles. Or an wizened old crazy eyed hissing sage of an opossum with antlers, an opossalope, if you will.
