Ideas for question 2: - Reverse the Energy. Take the two closest dice (or two dice that this die is pointing at, or whatever) and bring them with you while you do something that is somehow the opposite of reading these dice. If you're inside, take them outside with you. If you're sitting down, hold them while you do a few jumping jacks. If you've been chatting enthusiastically with a friend or querent, take the dice and meditate in silence for a minute. When you bring the dice back, reroll them. - Gravity Well. Move (all? some of?) the other dice in the reading closer to this one. Then for good measure, add a die-sized object from outside the reading to the tableau. Interpret that object as if it were a face of whichever die was closest to it before it joined the reading. - Game Over: Continue? Sadly, you will need to insert another quarter to complete this reading. But since there's no convenient coin slot, you can just 'waste' a tiny bit of something valuable... money, time, attention... before you go on. Throw a penny in the trash. Eat a candy you were saving. Turn on the A/C. Wash a dish that was already clean. Recycle an ad without reading it. - Hubris! Take some number of dice in the reading and stack them in a tower on top of this one. Then give the table a nice hard thump to knock the tower down. Any dice that land outside the relevant area are out of the reading; any dice that are still covered by other dice are likewise not considered (but leave them there, it's pretty). Alternately, build the tower on one outstretched hand instead of the table. - No Fate. Flick this die (once) at any other die you want to try to change its face. (If reading for someone else and they're not familiar with the dice, explain this die, then start the reading. They can interrupt to do the die flick anytime later if they don't like what they're hearing.) - Staff Retreat. Sorry, the dice are up to matters of their own at the moment! Please consult a different oracle. Or, if you must read the dice as is, keep in mind that you only have part of their attention. Results might be kind of slipshod. Keep the really clear parts and ignore the rest, the dice were probably phoning it in.
