I admit that I also don't groove with the Happy Squirrel. Not exactly because it's an in-joke (that's okay) or a Simpsons reference in-joke (that show's pretty okay too) but because it's a tarot in-joke. I love how relatively independent the lords and other imagery are from the divination systems I already know best! I love a lot of the super original ideas people are posting here, and would probably vote for any of them over the squirrel just because of that independence.
This is exactly what I was trying to get at. Tarot in joke, feels out of place, better to have something reworked to fit this separate, unique mythology.
