I’m a mother and a writer living in Saskatchewan. Most of my life has been shaped by paying attention, quietly, to how people move through rooms, how care is given and withheld, and how much we carry without realizing it.
The Invisible Cage grew out of moments I couldn’t stop noticing: the way my body reacted before my mind caught up, the calm that appeared in unexpected places, the unease I kept explaining away. This isn’t a story about fixing things or tying them up neatly. It’s about noticing. About the small shifts that change how you see yourself and your life.
I write in the margins of motherhood and work, usually early in the morning or late at night, when the house is still. This project matters to me because I believe many of us have felt these things without having a place to put them. If this book resonates with you, I’m grateful you’re here.
