His articles, essays, and introductions about Robert E. Howard and his works have appeared in books and publications for the Robert E. Howard Foundation Press, Dark Horse Comics, Marvel Comics, Tachyon Press, and elsewhere. When he is not waxing eloquent about popular culture, he writes comics, fiction and role-playing games, performs community theater, and podcasts somewhat regularly at the 42Cast.
