Triglav Games is back with our new crowdfunder! This time we are offering our first major adventure for MCDM’s flagship TTRPG Draw Steel, with the one and only Jonas Tintenseher leading the project. But that’s not all — since our last crowdfunding campaign, we've expanded our team by some rockstar Draw Steel designers, known and respected in the homebrew and 3rd-party content communities, and we are more eager than ever to create high-quality content for your Draw Steel games! Here’s what’s in this smorgasbord of a crowdfunder:

  • Until the Last Villain Dies: A modular 2nd-echelon adventure to avenge Good King Omund!
  • Rocks Fall! Dynamic arenas to elevate your combats!
  • Upper Worlds, Beware! A timescape-themed starter pack! (With a quest!)
  • Murder of Corvenwights: A crowfolk ancestry, enemy band, and more! (Like a quest!)
  • Grave Matter: SKELETONS! SPELLGEMS! TRUMPETS??? (And a quest!)

We are extremely excited to bring Until the Last Villain Dies to life! Castle Omund has fallen — and you were there. Years after the betrayal of the Dragon Phalanx, it's time for payback...with a vengeance! Aided by your dragon knight informant, Cyrri, avenge Omund by hunting down the draconians who betrayed the Good King and protect Vasloria from another of Ajax's villainous schemes. Before there can be peace, there must be justice!

We’re designing the adventure as a series of interlocking quests, with the heroes’ choice of targets changing the parameters of each mission. You’ll face off with draconians and other foes from Draw Steel: Monsters (with some adjustments), as well as all-new draconian villains and their cronies, including a master Black Ash shadow, a berserk hellknight, and more!

When you lock eyes with each villain, your party sees (and plays through!) a flashback to the fateful night that Castle Omund fell. Where was that villain when Ajax attacked, and how did they forsake their oath? Before you draw steel, you'll witness their betrayals firsthand!

Currently, the adventure looks to be shaping up around 60 pages. Like The Condemned, UTLVD can be played completely standalone, but we’ll also be including guidance and modifications for integrating it into an ongoing campaign.

If you're a Director and you want a full outline of the adventure, click here to read — and beware the spoiler warning!!!

And that’s not all!

With the new size of our team, we have a massive potential for content creation, so in addition to this new high-octane adventure, we're also working on new mechanical supplements, each of which measures 20+ pages, to amp up your games or even start a new campaign!
Edit

Heroes die! This Director-focused supplement officially introduces dynamic arenas to Draw Steel, a new kind of cinematic combat feature to elevate your encounters. If dynamic terrain objects are props, dynamic arenas are the whole theater! In this product you will find rules and advice for using dynamic arenas and 30 arenas spread across 3 echelons of play, including Blighted Forest, Haunted Cemetery, Gladiatorial Arena, Infernal Courthouse, Valok Forge, Vampire Castle and many more!

This supplement is led (again) by Jonas Tintenseher, the brain behind the arenas' design, which first debuted in their Promptober project.

Explore the stars in this timescape-themed starter pack, with everything you need to jump into Draw Steel’s space fantasy setting: three new timescape ancestries (the crystal-blooded empathic Prismians, the space-mantid Chydians, and the revised and expanded Asomaths), as well as new timescape kits and treasures and Where the Dead Ships Dwell, a 1st-level quest featuring the all-new Havoc Brigade enemy band, a mercenary company full of criminals and natural-born killers.

Upper Worlds, Beware! Timescape Starter is led by Dmytro "DimaJeydar" Serbin, the brilliant designer behind the Astounding Asomaths, the second Jams of the Timescape winning entry, as well as The Matter of an Overmind, another great timescape adventure!

Stitch your shadow to the flock's with a new corvenwight ancestry and an urban intrigue quest featuring the new 1st-echelon corvenwight enemy band! Face the henchcrows of the Crow-Eyed Queen on the outskirts of the town of Sable, weaving foes’ fates with the College of the Widow's Loom shadow subclass and other crow- and weaving-themed hero options like complications and treasures.

This project is led by (last one for now, we swear!) Jonas Tintenseher, our local expert on all things corvid, who’s been running the corvenwight tailoring mafia in their home game for some time!

Art piece for this product is still in progress, but we will reveal it later during the campaign!
Edit

We all have a skeleton inside of us, and now you can play one on the outside! This supplement includes a host of skeletal player options (including an ancestry, kits, treasures, and complications!), spellgems (a new treasure type giving your heroes access to more magic), and a 1st-level dungeon quest full of new bony adversaries and ancient tombs.

This product is led by Mateusz "Ananam" Malarski, the lead designer behind the Vampire Class and Boggits of Kingsmire, once again delving deep into dark fantasy themes and doing what he does best — bring the fun and macabre to your games!

Edit

As usual, the biggest cost associated with products like the ones we showcase here is art, and we do love getting some amazing and beautiful art! We keep our designers and contractors well-compensated, and design, editing, layout, and art all require funds. Like we did with our previous projects (the Vampire Class and Boggits of Kingsmire), we will be also playtesting the products (a lot!) to make sure the rules we create are fun and seamless with the base game. People expect the highest standards from Triglav, and we want to meet those standards!

The funding goal of this crowdfunder is not all the money required to produce all of the stuff that's here, but worry not, as this was also the case for our previous products! Happily, we are in good-enough financial condition that the basic funding goal of this campaign will enable us to pay for the rest from our own pockets. We are sure that after their release, the products will be popular enough to eventually cover all of their costs. Our Vampire Class is already turning profit!

Edit

Once we cover all the costs for this project, we have BIG PLANS for the future! All the additional money we get will be put back into making more cool stuff for your Draw Steel campaigns, but for this crowdfunder specifically, there is only one stretch goal: the PREMIUM EXPERIENCE. At €8000, we’ll implement Until the Last Villain Dies into the Codex, and anyone who backs or purchases it will get access to the module!

UPDATE #1: So, we've met the stretch goal and Until the Last Villain Dies comes to the Codex! This means that the maps, the enemies, the pregens, the scenes etc. will all be ready for you to play when you decide play the adventure in the MCDM's premium VTT! So, what comes next? The deluxe version of that! We want to do it all - animated battle maps, animated tokens, music... so the next goal of €12000 will get you just that!

UPDATE #2: We've met the second stretch goal too, meaning the experience of playing through Until the Last Villain Dies in the Codex will now be deluxe - with music, animated maps, and animated tokens! What's next? At €15000 we will bring all the quests from our supplemental products (Upper Worlds, Beware!, Murder of Corvenwights, and Grave Matter) to the Codex, and all people who get the respective PDFs will gain access to the Codex modules! We are also exploring the possibility of bringing the dynamic arenas from Rocks Fall! to the Codex, but can't guarantee it right now.

We are blown away by your immense support, and if we hit this goal with time to spare, we miiight have one more in mind! But after that, extra money will go toward our expanding development and art budget, and then toward our next projects in the not-so-distant future… but what will those projects be, exactly?

This crowdfunder is a "vote with your wallet" joint. We've included a lot of different products here so that you can tell us what kind of products you want to get in the future! If you want us doing more Timescape, get Upper Worlds, Beware! If you want more dark fantasy from Triglav Games, grab Grave Matter! If you’re excited for more urban adventures, get Murder of Corvenwights, and if you want more wacky and new ways to play Draw Steel on a mechanical level, make sure those Rocks Fall! (And your heroes die!)

After the crowdfunder is done, we will analyze the sales of all the different products here, and it will tell us which direction to follow to satisfy our customers and audience. There is a lot of creative juice flowing through our team and we have more ideas than we know what to do with. We want it all, but we need to know what to prioritize, and we’re leaving that choice up to you!

We wanted to be sure that you can get exactly what you want from this crowdfunder. You don't even need to pick up the UTLVD adventure itself — everything is optional, everything is customizable, buy what you want! You can pledge as much or as little as you desire, but we really hope you are excited for all the things here. We sure are!
Edit

A lot of the products here are already being designed, and a couple are design-complete! We expect all of the things from this crowdfunder to come out later this year, with Rocks Fall! releasing the fastest, followed by Murder of Corvenwights and Upper Worlds, Beware!, with Grave Matter and Until the Last Villain Dies releasing towards the end of the year — though we really want to get Grave Matter out before Halloween!

Edit

The risks involved with this crowdfunder are minimal. All of the products here will be digital-only releases, and so we will avoid all the problems related to printing and shipping. In addition, this is not our first crowdfunder and we are experienced in designing, developing, and releasing products like this. Save for art, our team is now completely self-sufficient and employs a competent cadre of creators and contractors, whose expertise will carry us to success. We are both passionate and up to the task!
Edit

We now have a reputation of having amazing art in our products and we are proud of the work done for us by our contract artists. Some of the work, done for our previous projects, you can see below, to know what to expect from the products you can get from this crowdfunder.

You can see more of our art here.
