In the world of God Complex, supernatural creatures like vampires, therians (shapeshifters), mages, fey, angels, demons, and ghosts coexist with unaware mortals. Each player character must balance their extraordinary abilities with maintaining the delicate equilibrium between the supernatural and the mundane.
Built on a d6 dice pool system, God Complex is designed to be narrative-focused while presenting interesting tactical options. The goal is to present a streamlined system that doesn't rely on modifiers or referencing endless tables and charts.
The New God on the Block
In New Gods on the Block the players assume the role of a freshly established Pantheon in the city of Delphi, an urban oasis in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Apollo was the former administrator of the city until he disappeared, creating a power vacuum. It is up to the Pantheon to restore order to the city and bring the supernatural factions in the city to heel. However, multiple antagonistic forces seek to use the disappearance of Apollo to further their own agendas, and an emissary from the largest supernatural community is coming to evaluate the city and the Pantheon. This is a pass or fail kind of test...and failing the evaluation may have dire consequences for the Pantheon. What's there to say except it isn't easy to be The New Gods on the Block.
