Here you are, stuck in a small town in the middle of nowhere.
The only place to find work in this town is in the local pigeon factory. But the workers at the pigeon factory don’t speak the same language, so the only thing you can do is try to communicate by forming a pidgin language!
pidgin (noun), pid·gin:
a simplified speech used for communication between people with different languages
Pidgin is a cooperative game where players work together to build parts while creating a new language!
Playing Pidgin!
Each player has Score Cards and Worker Cards. The Score Cards are secret ways that the whole table can earn points. Earn points by playing the right Worker Cards in the right way!
How do you know which card to play? Talk to each other! Table talk is encouraged, but here's the twist: Players can only say the gibberish ("Pidgin") words on face-up Language Cards.
Each turn, a player may take a Language Card and play it face up anywhere on the table, or near a language helper card, to build the new language. Players can use these words to talk about colors, locations, and even to give each other very nice compliments!
Hilarity ensues when halfway through the game, everyone is speaking gibberish and somehow, it all starts making sense!
