Introducing the perfect bag for the nerdy (or pin-collecting) yarnie! As an avid crocheter of 16 years, none of the yarn bags on the market really hit home for me - so, why not make my own? With function AND form in mind, this ita bag will feature not two, but THREE spaces to hold pins, keychains, and other merch items to display; two pockets dedicated to holding crochet hooks, knitting needles, stitch markers, patterns, and all manner of other fiber craft odds and ends; the ability to hold six standard sized skeins of yarn or three bulky/xl skeins (think caron one-pounders) with snap on and elastic dividers (no velcro to ruin your yarn and snag projects!); eight grommets to feed yarn through while you work on your project - with a flexible yet secure opening so that your projects aren't stuck in your bag until you finish; and more as I work on prototyping the perfect Yarnie Ita Bag :)
Based on funding, up to 6 total colorways will become available in a range of fabric types and textures - additional add-on items will include merch items, but also functional items like hook and needle fabric zip pouches, stitch marker holder keychains, yarn ball suspenders and more.
While my main goal is to make this functional bag for knitters/crocheters/fiber artists, I also want to make it usable by other crafters and artists who enjoy bringing their hobbies on the go. These bags will be expandable and collapsible in order to meet most personal item size requirements, and pretty much all carry-on size limits so it will be the perfect travel bag for the avid Yarnie/crafter as well. My hope is I can provide a certain level of customization through add-on items (think pouches, liners, additional pockets, etc.) so everyone can tailor this bag to fit their needs.
