About Andy Kubert

Andy Kubert, son of comics legend Joe Kubert, has left an indelible mark on the comic book industry. His illustrious career began at DC Comics with the acclaimed Adam Strange mini-series, quickly followed by the highly successful Batman versus Predator series.

At Marvel Comics, Kubert's talent truly shone. His six-year run on the popular X-Men title consistently topped sales charts, cementing his reputation as a premier artist. He also illustrated other notable Marvel works, including the original Wolverine: Origin and the Marvel 1602 miniseries, the latter a collaboration with New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman. Kubert's Marvel portfolio expanded with impressive penciling stints on Ghost Rider, Captain America, Thor, Ultimate Iron Man, and Ka-Zar.

Currently, Kubert is creating monthly covers for Skybound Entertainment's successful launch of G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO while working on an upcoming project series. Notably, his recent cover art for his art book marks a triumphant return to drawing the X-Men after a 30-year hiatus.

Beyond his prolific artistic output, Kubert has contributed to nurturing new talent. For 16 years, he taught the second-year narrative art class at The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. Founded by his parents in 1976, this specialized institution, of which Andy is also an alumnus, continues to instruct aspiring storytellers in the complex art of visual narrative.

The Kubert legacy extends to a third generation. Andy is the father of two children, Emma and Sam. Emma has followed in her father's and grandfather's footsteps, entering the comics industry herself, thus continuing the family's remarkable multi-generational contribution to the world of art and storytelling.
