Hello and welcome! I'm HoloRaindrops. I'm an artist from the midwest and over the past 7 years you may know me from my numerous enamel pin campaigns across Kickstarter and BackerKit.
This time, however, I'm bringing you my first ever non-enamel pin project: a brand new ita bag!
As time has gone on, I have become fairly picky about the kind of bag I prefer for everyday use. Over the last few years, I have had a lot of trouble finding a bag that was everything I wanted - small, functional, AND cute. Most of the bags I found in stores only had 1 or 2 of those traits - they would be cute, but I wouldn't like how it was constructed; or it would be functional, but very boring aesthetically.
So I came to the realization - I'd just have to make it myself.
And that's how the Basic Witch Ita Bag came to be!

The Basic Witch Ita Bag is a simple but elegant ita bag that is designed to fit everyday essentials into a small but functional space without compromising on aesthetics.
The front of the bag features a clear ita window for you to show off your favorite pins, keychains, photocards, or other flat merch, accented with a shiny gold crescent moon and a removable chain with dangly star charms.
The back of the bag has a wonderfully witchy metallic gold design of moon phases with stars and constellations and a zippered pocket with a star-shaped zipper pull.

The most notable and convenient feature of the Basic Witch Ita Bag is that it doubles as both a wallet AND a small purse that can be used either over-the-shoulder or cross-body style. When you lift the front flap, there is a clear ID window, 5 card slots, and a cash pocket. This means you don't have to carry a separate wallet with you inside the bag.
Inside the bag, there are 2 compartments, each about 1" in depth. The front compartment has an additional 5 card slots attached to the inside of the front for even more storage for club cards or other cards that are less frequently used.
Separating the two compartments is a full-length zippered pocket for you to store small items such as loose change, more cards, trinkets, or whatever small items you need to keep organized.
The back compartment has another smaller zippered pocket and a non-zippered pocket overlaying it.

* Must purchase at least one (1) Basic Witch Ita Bag to receive the Lunar Phases pin for free. Limit 1 free pin per backer; meaning purchasing multiple bags will not get you multiple freebie pins.
At the base funding goal, backers will be able to choose from 6 basic solid color insert options: black, dark red, dark blue, dark green, pastel pink, or pastel purple.
Along with the bag itself, the above "Luna Moth" enamel pin will also be unlocked upon initial funding! He is not included with the bag, but he is available as an add-on.
*Please note: The Basic Witch Ita bag is not a large bag. It cannot fit large items like laptops, gaming systems, e-readers, sketchbooks, or other large items or electronics.

Once the bag has been initially funded, there are plenty of stretch goals still to reach!
Our first set of stretch goals are 8 custom insert designs. Each insert design has 1 matching pin designed by HoloRaindrops and 1-2 matching pin designs made by an amazing lineup of guest artists!

Note about the wallet prototype: I know the designs are not centered on each side. I've brought this up with my manufacturer and they will fix it for mass production. :)
We will unlock 3 matching wristlets at $11,500, $12,000, and $12,500. Each wristlet measures 16cm x 2.5cm and will come with a crab claw attachment and a split key ring.
If the campaign reaches $15,000, then we will unlock an alternate version of the bag, coin purse, & card wallet that comes with silver hardware & printing instead of gold!
If we unlock this colorway, you will get to choose which color you receive during your survey.

For pledges that cost over $150, backers have the option to select Pay Over Time to pay for their pledge in 4 equal interest-free payments over the course of 4 months, instead of it all in one lump sum.

You will not be eligible to fill out your official survey until you've paid for your pledge in full. Once you pay in full, you'll receive a survey invite automatically within 48 hours.
POT backers will receive a pre-survey Google form so I can get a better estimate of item counts as soon as possible after the campaign ends. You will still have to fill out your official survey once you receive it.
Notes about the pre-survey: If you don't fill out your pre-survey form, your order may not make it into my item counts; in addition, if you make different selections on your official BackerKit Survey from what you put in you pre-survey form, you may not receive your first choice of items and I may ask you to make a different selection.

The above fees are an estimated range of cost and could fall anywhere between the smallest and largest number for your country. The final shipping cost for your package is based on the final package weight.

I estimate that it will take at least 1 year from the campaign end date before the bags start shipping out to backers. Please take this timeline into account when you are deciding whether or not to pledge to this campaign.
This timeline is assuming everything goes smoothly. This is my first time making an ita bag, so even though I have experience producing many different kinds of merch, this is still a learning process for me, so please know that delays may still occur.
If there are any issues or delays in the fulfillment process, I will always relay them ASAP through campaign updates.
Hey there! I'm HoloRaindrops. Most of you probably know me from my numerous enamel pin campaigns over the past several years.
This is my first time crowdfunding an item other than pins. I honestly never thought I would want to make an ita bag, but here we are! I'm excited to be dipping my toes into crowdfunding other items besides just pins!
Even though this is my first time making an ita bag, I have 8+ experience producing numerous types of merch including enamel pins, keychains, standees, prints, stickers, books, to name just a few things.
I've also been working on prototyping and sampling this ita bag for about a year and have established solid communication with a manufacturer, so between that and my experience producing other merch, I don't foresee there being any major issues or delays.
I will do my best to make sure that all my backers receive beautiful, quality items!

Refunds & Exchanges
Refunds must be requested within 30 days after the campaign's end date. I will not accept refunds after this cutoff.
Backers are given ample time to make decisions while the survey is active. Once your order is locked in, I will not issue any refunds. If your order is locked but you want to make a change to your survey choices, please reach out to me at [email protected].
Once survey orders have been charged, I will not issue any refunds or facilitate any exchanges/changes to your order.
If your rewards arrive damaged during transit, please reach out to me with photos of the damage and we will work something out.
Surveys
Surveys will be sent out after the campaign's completion. Surveys are mandatory - this is where you will choose which rewards you want to receive and also where you will submit your shipping information. If I do not receive a survey response, I cannot send your rewards.
Forfeiture of rewards
Ample time is given for backers to submit their surveys to receive their rewards. If I do not receive a survey response from you by the time shipping is complete, you will forfeit your pledge and your rewards. I will not fulfill or refund forfeited rewards after the posted completion date.
Import fees & tariffs
All backers will be financially responsible for any potential import fees/taxes/duties upon reception of their package.
I will not issue any refunds for international backers who don't wish to pay fees/taxes/duties/tariffs when they receive their package.
Freebies, Cross-collab, & group incentive qualifications
Backers must pledge for at least 1 enamel pin to qualify to receive any freebie incentive items. Backers who pledge for the $1 support tier will not qualify to receive any freebie incentive items.
Pin Grading
All pins are graded for quality. Please note that all pins are handmade items and often have minor cosmetic imperfections (even those of A/Standard grade).
A Grade/Standard grade imperfections include but are not limited to:
minor surface scuffing on the enamel or metal plating
very small specs of dust in unnoticeable areas
minor/unnoticeable enamel underfill
minor/unnoticeable air bubbles
small specs of dust in soft enamel pins
small air bubbles in epoxy coating on pins that have it
slightly offset screenprinting on pins that have it
Color & Size
It is vital to understand that the images in this campaign are NOT photographs, but artist mockups of the merchandise. Due to manufacturing constraints, differences in colors of monitors between computers/phones/tablets etc, there will be variations between the images in the campaign and the final products.
Sometimes, I will need to make small changes to the pin designs based on manufacturer requirements. All changes will be conveyed to backers through updates.
Repeat Failed Backers
It has come to my attention that there are a few backers who repeatedly back my campaigns and then fail to pay.
Going forward, I will be keeping track of these backers and any backer who backs & fails to pay for 3 subsequent campaigns will be banned from participating in any of my future projects without exception.
Risks & Challenges
I have 8+ years of experience with making merch, however there's always the possibility that unexpected delays can occur due to manufacturer mistakes, shipping delays, and/or quality control issues.
There is also the possibility that I may have to make tweaks to the designs, but there should be no major changes in overall design. I will always convey any issues that come up with backers through the updates section.
This is my first time making bags, so I'm still learning, but so far there have been no major concerns during the sampling process and I don't expect anything major to come up. If something does, I will communicate it.
Pin designs that have a consistent flaw across majority of the pins will be considered standard grade for that batch.
For major flaws in pins, I may have to reorder which will cause shipping out rewards to be delayed. All this will be conveyed through post-campaign updates.
There is also the possibility that not all items get funded. If this happens please understand that only the unlocked bags & pins will be available as rewards. In the case the project does not get funded at all, you will not be charged and the bags & other items will not get made.
PLEASE REMEMBER, I am only one person running everything, and sometimes Life Happens™️. Unexpected personal emergencies or other life happenings can come up and cause delays, so please understand that! Should any delays occur, I will communicate everything through post-campaign updates.
I will also give you all a gentle reminder that I am a real human being with feelings, so please try to remain kind & constructive with your communications with me. If someone becomes hateful in their communications with me, their pledge will be canceled & they will not be allowed to participate in any of my future campaigns.
