Get Ready for Pathfinder Second Ed.: Dr Dhrolin's Dictionary of Dinosaurs

 Originally funded as a Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition sourcebook, we're now bringing our unique palaeontology-themed content to Pathfinder Second Edition. With the expert help of the original creators of Pathfinder Second Edition, we will ensure that all of our content adheres to the tight balancing of Pathfinder, while maintaining our innovative and immersive designs. 

For those of you unfamiliar with us and our work, we are research palaeontologists, artists, and game masters. Our goal is to bring science education to the tabletop gaming sphere through the medium of palaeontology. We’ve created realistic dinosaurs for your games, using real life anatomy and ecology to guide our designs. All of which are stunningly illustrated by world-famous palaeo-artist Dr Mark Witton.

We're working with Pathfinder Second Edition experts to adapt our rules, while retaining our unique designs. This means that we'll be including their suggested environments, phylogenetic group, and descriptions of their integument. Check our Beipiaosaurus below as an example.

Our holistic palaeo-environments provide immersive and scientifically accurate worlds based on real fossil sites. Each contains rules for animals, plants, and the environment itself that allows you to place an adventuring party in a comprehensive real setting! Optional magical rules also allow you to sprinkle a bit of fantasy into those worlds too.

Scientifically Accurate Dinosaurs with Optional Magical Rules:

The bestiary component of Dr Dhrolin's Dictionary of Dinosaurs presents creatures, with stats, abilities, and behavioural information that represents the real animal, based on current scientific consensus. This allows you to populate your worlds with believable animals that behave in a manner befitting their ecology - perfect for dropping your players in a realistic dinosaur setting.

However, each non-fantasy animal also includes Optional Magical Rules for high-magic fantasy settings. These double down on one or more aspects of the animal, unlocking unique magical abilities and/or attacks that remain on-theme for the animal.

The book also includes six dinosaur/pterosaur-themed ancestries, allowing you to populate your worlds with more up-to-date dinosaurfolk.
