As we prepare for launch, we want you to help decide which Dragon Hoard Keepers we should prioritize. We've taken the time to give them perfectly normal people names! Your thoughts will help us decide which ones to put together for our first stretch goals.
Long time no see! Since we last spoke, we’ve been busy bees, finalizing designs, communicating with manufacturers, and participating in three conventions (a fourth coming up this weekend!). A lot’s happened! Let’s dig in!
Survey Lock & Charge Date!
Okay, important thing first. We will be charging cards and locking surveys on May 1st. That means you have until then to make any changes to your survey selections. At that point, we will be locking down numbers with our manufacturers and finalizing plans for production. If there’s a coin or keeper you’ve been eyeing to collect, now is the time!
Pay-over-time backers and UK backers, hang in there. We see you. Extras of each pin and plush will be ordered to account for seconds quality and to accommodate the extra demand for when you receive your surveys.
Green and Purple Samples!
LOOK AT THEM.
Purple and Green samples are in! Both are fat, happy, and perfect! They turned out better than we could have hoped. Green Pickles is pretty grounded, while Purple Debbie must be the most soothing of the bunch. Like the others, they are impossibly soft.
The hooks for the straps have been moved down lower on the plush.

Something fun we found out is that the straps can come in different colors. Each dragon will now be coming with straps matching its primary body color.

Thoughts & Prayers Coin Design
We’re deep in the design sheets for the coins and tweaking every little detail. Have a look at the Thoughts & Prayers Coin!
Because coins do not need their details filled in with enamel, we can really punch up the detail. That said, we are adding hard red enamel on this coin for the filled side. I’m super excited to see the final coins as it’s like seeing two worlds collide!
Let’s take a look at the details on Gambler’s toss. This coin is a great example of how tight the texture and design can be!
Project Status
Let’s talk about each part:
Plushes: Finalizing legal/safety pieces and hang tags. Details around testing, labeling, and timeline are worked out. Final plush detail changes and collecting the rest of the funding are needed before getting started.
Coins: Alchemist’s Flip and FrostFire design details are being finalized. We are also inquiring about fancy finishes.
Pins: Much of the work around the pin design is complete. Final factory design files are being put together for each pin in preparation to be submitted in May.
We will be at BookCon!
This weekend, we will be making our way out to New York for BookCon. This will be our first Convention on the East Coast, and I’m super excited to be a part of it. If you are in the area, please come say hello at booth #1039! We will have the prototype dragons for you to check out in person.

I just wanted to check in really quickly to let you know surveys should come in the next two or so weeks. I am deep in the process of setting up the pledge manager (which always takes much longer than I think it will >. <)
Also, since there is a custom derpy design, I need to finish that before I can send the sfinal urveys so you can see the brand new little zodiac friend and add him if you are interested!

This month is shaping up to be quite busy! Here's an update on what's happening in the world of Rain Dragon, Goaticorn and Moon Fish!
Technical Business
Surveys 🔴🔴🔴 We are still in the process of getting surveys together. The bulk of the work is complete (such as preparing survey questions and setting up shipping). However, we want to make sure there are samples of most of the items before we send surveys. We are still waiting on photos of quite a few samples, so surveys are on hold for the time being.
We will make an announcement when surveys are ready to be sent.
Rain Dragon is complete and mostly here! We had originally mailed 250 dragons here, and had held the remaining at the factory. With the success of this project, those dragons who were left behind can finally start their journey to us (and then- on to you!). Those dragons will be shipping to us shortly.
As with Rain, Black Moon Fish is also complete. Some are here with us and the remainder are at the factory. Those fish will now be shipping to us shortly!
We are currently waiting to see the second revision on Void's prototype. We will make an announcement when we have photos.

Dragon Friends Pin 🟠🟠🟠 We received the first photo sample of this pin! The UV printing looks really nice and vibrant! There was one error (of overlapping printing) that will be corrected. We have approved this pin for production.

The samples for these little frolickers has been completed! We think they look pretty adorable! They have been approved for production.
We are waiting on samples of the rest of the pins. We will update when we have photos.
