Chris Doyle, author of the original Castle Whiterock, is the mind behind the 5E conversion of Witch Pleas' "ultimate Castle Whiterock tie-in," Descent of the Ancient Fane.

It was an amazing experience working with Chris on Descent of the Ancient Fane, connecting the mega dungeon to Whiterock's established NPCs and hidden areas, and offering Castle Whiterock's "secret diabolical history."

Chris blessed us with an interview on our blog that covers some of that experience, speaks to the original Castle Whiterock's personal origins, and delves into his ecology-focused approach to dungeon building.

Gary Con XVIII was last weekend, and boy, did we have fun! I ran the first-ever playtest of Mutant Spawn of the Toadmother. From what I can tell, people had a good time, but NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

The playtesting will continue until morale improves! Once the campaign concludes, we'll set up virtual playtests for any interested backers. Then we'll put the PDF in your digital hands so you can run it and feed it back to us. I don't think that's how you say it, but that's how I mean it!

Did I mention that playtesters get their names in the book? Well, they do.
