A quick reminder that orders will lock on Friday. We have sent out the 48 hour notice to those that have answered their surveys so if you have any final adjustments now is the time to make them! We will then send out the Charge Cards 48 hour notice on Friday, and cards will then charge on Sunday 10/18.

Books are still in production at the printer, waiting on a shipping ETA for the Player's and Referee's books for backers that selected pledges that include early shipping on those two titles. There was some sampling we needed to do on the black page edges to confirm the quality and we are waiting on the results of that before the Demonic Grimoire books are filanized. 

Card decks and patches are about to go into production at the manufacturer. 

Postcards, stickers, zines, and shirts will be sent for manufacturing in the next month, as they have a quicker turnaround than the above items.

Five out of the eight tracks are now complete! We'll send it out to backers once it's finished. You guys are gonna be stoked on how it sounds!

I am so tired. 

Brad and I just spent a few 12 hour days getting your packages in the mail. The good news is, if you live in the US and you've completed your survey and paid and all that, your minis are on the way! Why did packing take so long? BECAUSE WE GAVE YOU SO MANY FREE THINGS AND I HAD TO PUT EACH OF THEM IN A BOX! 😂

Seriously, though, I think you're going to really enjoy it. 

If you're outside of the US, minis are somewhere over the Atlantic right now headed toward our international fulfillment center. With luck, everything will arrive there next week and we'll start shipping them out. I'll keep you posted!

We've got a big announcement today: we're releasing the full "ashcan" PDF of The Tiger Princess of Treacherous Tripura to everyone who backed the project! You can access it here. It's all here -- 150 pages of gameable prose, detailing Tripura, its people, places, and perils, and even the devious Tiger Princess herself. If you've been itching to tell your players to "go to Hell!", now's your chance!

If you read "150 pages" and thought "there's no way that's going to fit into a single zine", you're absolutely right. Despite editor Walt's extensive excisions, there's just not enough filler that could stand to be cut. So, after heated debate, we've decided to rework Tiger Princess into two zines compiled within a detachable cover doubling as a referee screen! One booklet will contain bestiaries, Tripura as a wider setting for adventure and ofcourse, the much requested rules for city adventures! The second booklet will contain the adventure sites and the infernal wedding. This would be a monumentally stupid financial decision for anyone who didn't literally own a print shop, but we do, so our accountants have begrudgingly allowed it.

This upgrade will come at no increased pledge or shipping cost to you, fair backers. Consider it a testament to our unwavering standards and unwillingness to compromise when it comes to making kick-ass games. 

We've got more illustrations from Daniel, featuring some of the major factions of Tripura: the ophidian nagarajas, and the nihilistic supplicant masses.

We know we're a bit behind schedule on this, but rest assured that progress is being made daily and you will have your PDFs, books, mudtiles, and more as soon as our skilled hands can produce them. Behind-the-scenes, we're laying the groundwork for a super-streamlined workflow that should allow us to push out future books much faster, along with a whole parade of additional content that we're eager to reveal. Keep an eye out for our next update!

My next project is a solo journaling game called Wizard Mind Palace. You are a wizard on a quest to reclaim an item that was stolen from you. The moment you step into your Enemy's dungeon, you realize that they have infiltrated your mind palace and corrupted you memories. During the game, you will be reliving your memories of preparing for this quest, finding the changes that your Enemy made, and correcting them so that you can make it through the dungeon and defeat your Enemy.

It took me a while to figure out how to get the wraparound cover to fit correctly for the Mixam utility, so I went through three print proofs before I was happy with the way everything looks. But it's good now and we have ordered the full print run to be sent to the Exalted Funeral fulfillment center. The zines are expected to arrive before the end of this month and then they will be inventoried and checked along with all the other physical products shipping through the mega-pledge-mangaer.

Thanks again for backing The Black Spire Pact. This has been an absolutely insane endeavor making these PvP Adventure Gamebooks and then turning it into an OSE Dungeon on top of that! I knew this was going to be a big lift with lots of challenges, but I definitely underestimated it. And that just made it that much more exciting to work on. This one wasn't an issue of tedium, but of sincerely complex design problems that reminded me a ton of working on text-based RPGs in the 90s.

Files are very close to ready for print.  I am putting the final touches on all our layout and sending things out to proofreading. I anticipate we will be distributing PDFs next month. Right now, the focus is still on getting everything to the printer!

And here are a couple of illustrations I don't think we have shared yet. We had Arik and Skinner do an extra battle scene between Voth and Marax. These pieces will be specific to their books, so you get Voth's perspective in the Voth book and Marax's perspective in the Marax book.
