We crushed our first stretch goal this weekend, so we'll be adding a lore drop to this campaign. Your votes are in, so we'll be visiting Talderra, the ancient Zymeran city built by a long dead god.
The next stretch goal will be at $6,000 and will add a new sticker pack to every physical pledge.

We took the Kavan standee to Ocala Con this weekend and had a lot of fun taking photos with him. I think our friends and other con attendees had fun with him too!

AM I HUMAN? Part 2 Progress
As of the writing of this blog, I am on page 10 of chapter 9. Some side projects have begun to take higher priority than the comic itself (way sooner deadline) so art is on hold for a couple of days while I grind away at it. So far my drawing pace has remained fairly consistent as long as I do not have any other projects going on, I really only like doing one project at a time because it’s easy for me to get overwhelmed that way.
FROM OLD AND BUSTED TO NEW HOTNESS
Gridlock is a name I’ve had for nearly a decade, if not over a decade. So when I went solo it only made sense to continue under that moniker. However, as I slowly transition from “comics only” to doing animation as well, there was quite a pressing problem tapping away at the back of my mind. THERE IS ALREADY AN ANIMATION STUDIO NAMED GRIDLOCK STUDIOS!!! Since I’m not an official business studio yet & am only doing this as a solo endeavor, I’m the one that needs to shift. So I chose to go with Studio Gridlock, quite the difference huh? Lol It works well & that’s what I’m sticking with. I hate name changes because it makes it hard for people to follow who you are, so this is the last one. And no, it wasn’t previously taken!

So I’ve been wanting to have my own website since the beginning. These social networks are great tools, but it’s a bad idea to solely rely on any of them. You need your own corner of the internet! So this is mine. Originally I had a Shopify, it wasn’t quite what I wanted it to be because you still had to order my comics digitally & you couldn’t just read them on the site like I was really trying to do. So my good friend Tytus (@oktytus on Twitch and all other platforms, follow him he’s the goat) made a website for me & it is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. My website will be where I announce everything first, post my blogs (like you’re reading right now) and post my comics to read digitally for free as well as purchase physical copies! WHAT IS NEXT?
I’ve been heavily studying animation. Just going to throw it out there & not beat around the bush. I like making comics, but I want to try my hand at animation & cartoons! So my plan is to animate a few shorts so I can see how I like it, learn the process, and get my feet wet BEFORE I go off the deep end and start making a show of Am I Human. I’m still going to be working on the comic series, that will be priority number one until it’s finished.
