Hambone here, and I figured I'd drop by with an update about what is next for the project.
First up, I am stoked to say that Of A Harmonious Nature is fully written and in the revision stage. After running it at a few cons over the last few weeks, I found a few small things I wouldn't mind tweaking, so I am currently working on them.
Levi and I are writing the dungeon for Nothing Left To Lose as we speak. We have it all framed out and several of the rooms and main set pieces done, so now it is a matter of filling in the rest.
I'll be back in June with more, hopefully including some cool art for you all to check out.
Stay safe out there, and may the dice always roll in your favor.
We’ve got just four days left on the campaign for A Dark Double Feature, and I want to offer up some thanks and praise. I’ve had a blast promoting this one, and I wanted to say thanks to all the folks who brought me on to their shows. I would also like to thank all the players who participated in my “Die Before You Buy” campaign. Running Of A Harmonious Nature for you was a killer time. For those players whose first RPG experience was my game, it was an honor and a privilege to be your first GM. Hell Yeah!
If you haven’t checked it out yet, our campaign is going for another four days (until May 22nd). I would love it if you would check it out. Every book comes with a PDF, and one of the combos even comes with a mini of the big bad from Of A Harmonious Nature, Prastr-Vem.
If you have any questions before you pick it up, shoot me an email at [email protected]. I would love to chat with you about the campaign.
Stay safe out there, and may the dice always roll in your favor.
As we cross $5K (Woo hoo! Thanks, dudes!), we wanted to announce our first Stretch Goal: Maps!
At $7,000, all physical pledges will include an 11x17 double-sided foldable map for both Of A Harmonious Nature and Nothing Left To Lose, illustrated by Skull Dixon.
Ravenloft inspired maps from The Hotel Exorcist by 321RPG by Skull Dixon
I also want to give a special shout out to my pal and one of my favorite creators in the hobby, Brian "The Neon Lord" Shutter.
He's got 48 hours left on his campaign for Neon Bastardz.
Neon Bastardz is an extreme cassette-apocalypse RPG of Khaos, mutants, and mullets!
An age where magic and technology mash. Where mutants and monsters roam the toxic wastelands and ruins of the forgotten world. Only the strong survive in this new kill or be killed world where attitude is everything!
Take up the mantle of a SkumDog adventurer, to brave the dangers of the wastelands in search of cash and prizes. Collect fantastical gear and wield the galaxies' most powerful weapons to become the baddest dude in Neo-Terraxx.
Do you have what it takes to become the Neon Lord?
This campaign looks pretty cool, right? That said, looking cool is NEVER enough. I want to show you why the Dark Double Feature rules, and I want to do it LIVE.
Now, you might be thinking, “But I don’t usually get to play a game before I back it.” It’s a wild idea, I know, but stay with me here.
When I got into sales, I cut my teeth selling a high-end blender at big-box stores and on the State Fair circuit. I loved it because there was always a tangible connection between the crowd and me.
Such a thing doesn’t really exist anymore, right? Instead, what do we get? Ephemera and social media static.
It’s confusing, especially when you are considering plunking down your hard-earned money on a new game.
Luckily, I have a solution.
Come play Of A Harmonious Nature with me. No strings attached, no obligation to back this campaign.
Just pick a date and let me run you through a killer folk horror adventure, designed for the system that it's perfect for: Shadowdark RPG.
All I can promise you is a good time and maybe, just maybe, you’ll survive your stay in Skogstrand.
At the end, I’ll even mail you a commemorative pin from the session.
On behalf of Geo and myself from Ham & Egg Publishing, and Levi Combs, the co-writer of this double feature, THANK YOU !!!
We don't get to do the things we do without you; we are beyond grateful. We are looking forward to putting out a killer book that you and your friends will enjoy around the table or online.
So what's next?
Firstly, I have several promotional appearances lined up, and I will post links to them once they air.
Second, and most important, some folks in the Shadowdark community asked if I could give a more detailed preview of how the book will look, rather than the two pages I am showing at the end of the Story page.
I am thrilled to make this accommodation, and today I'll be working on a downloadable PDF with more pages. I am trying to figure out a way to do it in a non-spoilery way, and I am setting up Affinity now.
There will be another post later today with a DriveThru RPG link to download the preview.
Stay safe out there, and may the dice always roll in your favor.
