Hey everyone! Getting some more designs going for this project. I have two that I’m currently working on, and I’d love to hear opinions! 

First: Charon! I’m trying to decided between the bigger, stronger looking Charon, seeing as he is rowing a boat all day every day and he is usually depicted as a bit more burly (because that’s just how Greek art be) and the more skeletal look which suits his station more I think. I’m also considering if it would be best to have the skeletons on the side symmetrical or not. I like drawing skeletons so I’m not upset either way. Behind the boat he is laying in the water will be transparent enamel with the ghostly figures being half raised so they show up underneath, hoping to give it a river styx sort of effect.

Then we have the Valkyrie. I’m really happy with mmmmmost of this, I’m not happy with her clothes. I’m not sure if i should go for more of the modern look associated with them and add wings or the metal chest piece they are usually shown with, or retry drawing her period appropriate. I usually try and stick closer to the source material but this first attempt isn’t doin it for me. The horse is a fjord horse, because from what I’ve found that would have been an option at the time. I’ll probably have to simplify a few things for this before actually making it a pin but that’s life.

Pretty happy with the other designs I have “finalized” at the moment, working on the smaller versions of most of them. Also debating if it’s too many birds to also do a vulture. I’m hoping to add Azreal to the line up, and maybe a shinigami? They don’t have a set look so I’m trying to find a myth where they are specifically described so I can use that. If anyone has any please feel free to share :]

These designs take me a lot longer than my usual pins, and while they are so so worth it I don’t end up being able to make as many because of it. I’m really happy with how they are all coming out though!
