Project Update: What Makes the AH² Collection Stand Out!!😎
What makes the AH² Collection stand out?
This is an extremely popular book series, and rightfully so! So there was no doubt there would be lots of special editions celebrating these incredible books. We know there are amazing choices out there so we thought we’d just mention some of the ways our collection stands out.
This is an extremely popular book series, and rightfully so! So there was no doubt there would be lots of special editions celebrating these incredible books. We know there are amazing choices out there so we thought we’d just mention some of the ways our collection stands out.
1. Our timeline. Our books will go to print right after the campaign ends. We've been working on the art for this collection since December of last year. All our art and interior files have been approved and finalized by the publisher. We can go to print as soon as we have the hard number of copies we want them to print. The first six books will be shipped together. We always make the window pretty wide in case of eventualities, but in terms of the timeline for delivery, the publisher has given us a window of 6-9 months from start of production to delivery.
2. You get to contribute and have a say in the art that is created. We have added a full second set of foiled dust jackets to our collection which our backers get to vote on. The artists have already been selected and now folks are able to vote on which scenes from the book they’d like to see brought to life. If you have not been taking advantage of this, jump into the polls HERE and HERE to select your favorite scenes from the remaining books. The set of backer-voted dust jackets will be printed separately and in parallel with the books (but delivered together).
3. We have HAND-SIGNED copies. Even though the hand-signed sets sold fast, some backers have cancelled or changed their pledge making a number of sets become available. For those interested we will open about 30 of the Early Bird Hand Signed sets to existing backers on Friday night (9/25) at 10 PM Eastern time.
If you are logged in, the Early Bird Hand-Signed tier (which includes the overlays for free) will reappear, and you can swap out your existing tier for that tier, but be quick, as there are only about thirty sets. We will leave this tier visible going forward, so if any other people with a hand-signed set cancel or change their pledge, that set will automatically become visible and available to the public.
4. We have SO MUCH art. One of our favorite things about fandoms is the beautiful fanart and we just had to celebrate some of the incredibly talented Game Changers fan artists! We wanted to make this project special and were lucky enough to get Rachel’s input on some of the artists we commissioned for this collection.
We have twelve talented creators, some of them long time fans of the books, illustrating dust jackets (some reversible), a second set of dust jackets based on your input, hardcover cover art, endpapers, two interior art pages, sexy overlays, and stenciled edges. The quantity and quality of art are what make special editions special, and we went all out with ours!
5. FREEBIES AND COMMUNITY! In a collective crowdfunding project, there is community, discussion, direct input from fans, and fun when we unlock more stretch goals. Every backer's order has already received a free “LOON” metal bookmark exclusively designed for this campaign, a custom mailer box with art by HT10000 and the free foodie sticker sheet will unlock shortly. By keeping it fun and being in community with each other, we can unlock more freebies together. Among the stretch goals we can still unlock are free pins, stickers, art prints, metal charms, and a special magnetic clasping box to hold whichever set of dust jackets you don't put on your books! The bookmark, pins and stickers are also all designed by amazing artists that we love.
Thank you for being here and already making this campaign and INCREDIBLE SMASHING SUCCESS!
Twelve more days to go!
