Our current estimate for the Base Bags is August, but this is not set in stone and could be sooner! Unlike a standard backpack, every Base Bag uses a magnetic panel system. Before any orders ship, every panel design must be individually tested to ensure the magnets are aligned correctly, securely attached, and can support the panel's weight. This extra quality control helps prevent loose magnets or poorly fitting panels. Manufacturing the bags themselves only takes about a month. The majority of the timeline is dedicated to production, testing, quality checks, and shipping everything safely to us before fulfillment begins.

This campaign will not support BackerKit's Pay Later payment option. We've found that delayed payments can significantly impact manufacturing schedules, ordering quantities, and fulfillment timelines. Requiring payment at the end of the campaign allows us to begin production as quickly as possible and helps keep the project on schedule for everyone.

Shipping is not charged during the campaign. Shipping costs will be collected after the campaign ends through BackerKit's pledge manager once your order is finalized. This allows us to calculate the most accurate shipping costs based on your rewards and add-ons.

No. Since Plush Bags are ready much earlier, they will ship separately from Base Bag orders. This allows you to receive your plush companion without waiting for the modular bags to finish production.

BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.

If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.

Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.

Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.

You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
